    We love so many wonderful restaurants in Northern Illinois. This is our favorite. We have loved so many breakfasts and dinners here. We had a wonderful experience eating here for our 23rd Anniversary. To me the restaurant is a hidden gem. The food, service, and intimate ambiance have led to so many wonderful meals as a couple and as a family.

    Wonderful dinner! Great “special meals” this evening. Two of us were treated to grilled shrimp and lobster ravioli with an excellent sauce. Shared cannoli and Tiramisu. They have gluten free pasta for a choice. Great dinner.

    Everything about our visit to The Little Gem Restaurant exceeded our expectations! Food was out of this world! Service was outstanding. Atmosphere was very comfortable and yet romantic. Highly recommend this little gem. We will definitely go back next time we are in town.

    We ordered the grill calamari and octopus. Both were excellently prepared  and full of flavor. For our entrées, we ordered the lamb shank and also the linguine with muscles and shrimp. Fantastic! Our server, Michelle was very personable, friendly and attentive as well. Overall, a great experience for our first visit to Acquaviva. Looking forward to a future visit with friends.
