The service was impeccable. The food was just okay. I had the veal parmigiana and it was a large portion that was salty. My husband had seafood pasta and it was good. The cheesecake was delicious.

We purchased multiple meals so we could reheat for lunch the next day. They boxed them up and handed each bag to each of us and they got the meals all wrong. So I got a bag of my coworkers leftovers with shrimp and I’m allergic to shrimp. Also, my chair was broken and waiters kept bumping me the whole meal. Not at all what I would expect from a place that charges that much.

Old style Italian, perfectly executed. Dining room could use freshening, but still very comfortable. Service was painfully slow, but in a cheerful way. Food could have been warmer, but that goes back to the service. Loved this place and will be back.

GREAT ITALIAN FOOD!!! Friendly and professional staff. We started with a fine wine “Brunello di Montalcino.” We then had garlic cheese bread as an appetizer. We had their warm fresh bread with GREAT oil pesto dipping sauce. I wish we hadn’t ordered the garlic bread because their complimentary bread was way better than our garlic bread. We then had Italian Caesar’s salads, eggplant lasagna (huge portion), veal Saltimboca, and Shrimp & Crab Diablo with sausage. Our server, Fernando, was friendly and attentive. To finish, we had a delicious hazelnut chocolate cake! This place is a MUST when visiting DC.

Filomena’s is a delight every time. Our party of 6 ordered and shared 3 appetizers, 3 pastas, 1 entree and 1 dessert. All were delicious and the staff was wonderful.

Had a wonderful experience until dessert. We ordered a Filomena Cannoli and after 45 minutes of waiting we flagged down our waiter and cancelled the order and asked for the check. We weren't mad about it because we were so full and we saw the size of it at the table next to ours and it was gigantic. But it was still unpleasant being forgotten about.

Filomena's is one of our favorite restaurants for special occasions. Everything we've ever had here has been fantastic and there is nothing on the menu I would not recommend. This trip was for my husband's birthday. We had the meatballs (only restaurant where I'll order them), Lobster Arancini and Burrata Caprese as appetizers. All fantastic! The sauce on the arancini is sooo good. Our meals were the veal chop and Linguini Cardinale. The veal is as large as the late but so tender. Highly recommend! Not a bad dish in the house. Will gladly continue to go back.

We ate here 4 years ago and couldn’t wait to come back. The entire experience is worth the trip, from the woman in the window making the pasta, the home like feeling, the wait staff and the AH-MAZING food! It’s a must go if you are in DC!

As always, the meal at Filomena's was wonderful, the service impeccable and the ambiance was charming, warm and just the right level of conversation so you can talk and be heard by your own table, but not by the surrounding tables. It's always a pleasure to eat there!

Food is excellent and service is even better. Staff is extremely professional, knowledgeable of food allergies and very friendly. Restaurant was full and quite loud but our food was delivered very quickly. This was our fifth time eating here and will definitely go back next time we’re in D.C. area.

It was our first time at Filomena's. Our daughters gave us a gift certificate so we decided to try it. We absolutely loved it since the moment we got there. Everyone is super friendly. We got there at 5 and I think it was the perfect time, we were able to switch tables, enjoy our dinner and but the time we were finishing the restaurant was packed. Our server Juan Pablo was wonderful; dinner was excellent, for future reference we can share a dish or take it home and enjoy it, because portions are generous. Dessert was delicious. We ordered a cocktail and a bottle of wine, recommended by Juan Pablo and it was great. After dinner he came and offered an after dinner drink, amaretto or Sambuka on the house, what a nice way to end our dinner. It is expensive but for the quality of the food it"s absolutely worth it. We decided we will come back every other month, that's how much we enjoyed the restaurant.
