Piccadilly is our flagship restaurant, set in a beautiful townhouse just off Regent Street, encompassing the ultimate Gaucho experience in the West End. Impeccable Argentinian steaks, flavours of Latin America and a perfectly curated drinks list are all enjoyed in uncompromised elegance in the former home of a Spanish Ambassador.

This impressive restaurant boasts a variety of unique spaces that soar over three stories. At ground level, you have our warm and welcoming dining room with adjoining weather-proof terrace. As you ascend the original sweeping staircase, you’ll find another dining space with a spectacular open kitchen, where we host our legendary Electro brunch, as well as a myriad of gorgeous private rooms – one inspired by our former Spanish resident.

    Excellent meal as always! Can’t fault the Gaucho chain. Caters for everything. Last night was a mum and son meal before theatre trip but have also had a date night there, girls lunch, Sunday family get together. I like eating out but always default to here

    No problem with Gaucho whatsoever - having eaten there many times before and in several different restaurant locations. My problem is with Open Table - I booked this table on Saturday 25th March starting on Gaucho's own website, where I was then directed to Open Table's website. I booked the time and date for 6pm on Tuesday 28th March at Piccadilly's Swallow Street restaurant, and received an email confirmation from Open Table at 6.01pm. On Monday 27th March at 9.43am I received a further email from Open Table reminding me that my booking was the following day, and asking if I was "still going to make it?" I confirmed that we would still be attending. We arrived at the restaurant yesterday to find much to my embarrassment, that they had no record of our booking at all - not in my name, nor in any variant of my name. I showed the staff member my booking confirmation email and thankfully they sorted it out and offered us a table straightaway. About 35 minutes after we sat down I received another email from Open Table with the headline "Your seated confirmation for dining at Gaucho Piccadilly". How does this happen? Next time I think I'll book over the phone and not bother using Open Table, if possible.

    I was disappointed. When the food came the waiter didn’t know who is having what. The food was not hot. At desert the waiter didn’t bother to clean the table or bring plates for our desert. Felt we were in a cafeteria.

    Terrible service at front if house, very agitated vibe across the staff, steaks good but sides and cocktails awful. Absolutely not worth the money. Gaucho Hampstead much much better .. would not recommend this place at all.

    Me and my partner had a very positive experience, expect it was my partners birthday and I had specifically mentioned on my booking it was her birthday meal. We noticed a few birthday plates being brought out for other tables but we did not get one. Was a shame with how much money we spent.

    Gaucho are known for their steaks - mine cost £42 and was veiny and full of sinew - however all the others had sirloin which they said was lovely.

    Honestly the best meal I have eaten in years! The steak was to die for! All of the sides were so flavoursome! Didn’t want the food to end. We had a lovely waiter all night Manuel, who was so polite, friendly and helpful. Will definitely be returning soon after our next theatre trip. Thanks gauchos!

    We went to Gaucho’s to celebrate a birthday. We we met on arrival and swiftly went through to the restaurant area. The environment was great, staff welcoming and friendly. The service and food we excellent. Can’t recommend highly enough. We will be back! Special shout out to Edi Son who looked after us.

    The food was excellent as always. The staff were polite and professional but there were not enough of them - we had to ask for menus, ask for the wine list, ask for a top up of the water, ask for coffee. Shame - not quite the service we expected.

    Lunch at Gaucho was up to its usual high standard but the restaurant was reasonably quiet on the day and therefore it lacked its usual buzz. can't fault the service of the food - both excellent.

    On the whole very disappointing experience. The quality of meat was good, but all three steaks we have ordered were overcooked. When I pay £50 for a steak I would expect it to be at least cooked right. Sides were very small and quite bland, chips were underseasoned. Beef Empanada starter had more veg than meat in it, just very average. Pancakes for desert were completely cold. The service was very slow, it was hard to get any attention from the waiters. Hostess/security staff were rude to one of the guests. For the ££££ the value is low. That is the problem with Gaucho.. It is patchy, sometimes good sometimes bad. I've been to every branch, Picadilly is definitely worst of all.

    The food was delicius. The filets were perfectly cooked and succulent. Service was not on point. When we ordered the second bottle of wine, the waiters poured it in our glasses alrrady filled up with the wine of the first bottle and he didn’t even let us taste it before. More over, after the desserts were served, they delivered the bill, without asking if we needed something else ( we would have like to have a coffe and a drink).

    Full restaurant with a very high noise level. A non ordered starter was served and returned after a complaint. This non ordered dish was later on the bill. The service was a little bit overstrained due to the full restaurant. Food was very good, esp the meat.

    I remembered them being much better. The steak has no taste ( did they even use charcoal or wood to grill ). The chips were soggy.

    50th birthday celebration while on vacation from America. They had our table ready and waiting for us even when we showed up an hour early for our reservation. Food was great, wine was great, fun ambiance. Our waiter surprised us with a birthday dessert with a candle and glasses of bubbles. Such a nice touch! A great place for a celebration!

    Welcoming introduction to the restaurant and provided the offer of having a drink at the bar first. Took around fifteen mins for someone to take my order or acknowledge me, even though lots of staff walked by, they weren’t overly attentive. When the drink eventually came, nice as it was, I had to pay there and then for it, rather than it being able to be added to my overall food bill, all felt rather disjointed. I then had to request to be seated, and had to provide my name again, didn’t feel very seamless. Once seated, a delightful server (Edison) took the time to show me the different cuts of steak and clearly knew his stuff. Also, the person that sat provided the food menu and cocktail menu but no wine list, clearly rather important in a steak restaurant to have some wine to choose from! I then didn’t have sufficient time to order wine first before food and ordered all at once, eventually! Then when my food arrived, scallops, which were fantastic, and then the main course, my sauce was forgotten. Two servers delivered my main and it wasn’t obvious to them that my accompanying sauce for the steak was missing, I mentioned this and they looked dumbstruck as to whether it should be there or not. Eventually the male server acknowledged the oversight of it and said they would get it. Five minutes later and they were both clearing up other tables, clearly forgetting the task on hand. Only when the very friendly original waiter, Edison, came along to ask how my steak was and I mentioned the missing sauce did he take personal ownership and apologise and obtain the missing crucial item. The steak and recommended side dishes were excellent! All in all, in summary, food excellent, Edison fabulous and A+++, everything else rather disjointed and disorganised.
