The food unremarkable. There was a lot of food on the plate but it was not tasty at all. It did not represent the Georgia Brown brand very well. Our server "Jose O" was great. This was my third visit. The other two vists were fine so I may give it one more chance but not with the holiday menu.

I went for Thanksgiving. I chose this restaurant because it wasn't a buffet and there were a lot of options. I got the scallops, turkey and bread pudding. The scallops were great. The turkey was a bit dry and tough. The bread pudding was dry. My mother got the squash ravioli. That was very tasty and filling. I would probably try and go to this restaurant and order off the regular menu.

Overall the experience was nice. Our server was nice but didn’t check on us often. When he did, he was on top of it. Our drinks took awhile to come. We’d already finished our appetizer and our food was hitting the table when our drinks finally did arrive. I had the pear martini and it was good. My mom had a red drink with cinnamon and wasn’t a fan. I ordered the NY Strip, my mom had the crab stuffed salmon and my dad had the fried turkey dinner. The portions were nice in size and came out quickly. For the price, it was worth it!

The turkey was a bit dry. Collards greens were too salty. Mac n cheese was too mushy. Mashed potatoes were hard. The thanksgiving menu looked great but the turkey plate was not that great. I should’ve gone for a different option.

Great restaurant. The food was just ok this visit. 3 of 4 got fried turkey. It was Thanksgiving Day. The turkey was bland and a little disappointing. More seasoning please. The dressing was very good. The stuffed salmon was excellent for the 4th attendee.

We really loved it. Took our children there for dinner while visiting DC. The food was amazing, the waiter was very friendly and helpful. The crab cakes were very good, gumbo too! My daughter ordered the strak salad and that is now her favorite new dish. Piano was playing and there was a great atmosphere. Will definitely go back there, what a treat.

Disappointing and surprising….I have dined at this restaurant several times in the past and was always happy with the elegant feel, setting, and food. Immediately after entering the restaurant, I knew things had changed. The check in person was not interested in providing service and relayed her stress to us, telling us that our table was being prepared and would be ready ‘soon’. Having a reservation, it was surprising and uncomfortable, with no place to wait, during the 25 minutes until we were seated. The ambiance was totally different from previous visits. It was very casual and seemed like a family chain restaurant restaurant with chaotic noise filling the room. Definitely not a place to enjoy a meal with friends and conversation. I will give kudos to our very kind server, Jose. He did the best he could under the circumstances. None of this was his fault. The main complaint our party had was the rude, disruptive behavior of a party of 10. I can’t begin to adequately describe the volume and intensity of the the noise. It was impossible to converse with our friends around our table for four. When we requested a different table, the manager declined to address the situation, implying this was just the norm. We didn’t order a lot or anything extravagant but our bill was $350 for four people. This price was definitely not equal to the very average meal we had. Dining in DC is expensive with the outrageous DC tax on top of the service charge, and the valet ($20). We only used a valet because it wasn’t the safest area to walk to a garage. Needless to say, I will never recommend anyone to support this restaurant again. It is not what it used to be.

Happy Thanksgiving: We had 1 server for a party of 10. The wait for food was too long and The Turkey was cut too thick and dry. The ravioli was supposed to have butternut squash but it didn’t! The She Crab Soup was warm, not hot. Server was not attentive enough for a party of 10 and we had to wait for the check. Ladies bathroom only had 2 stalls, so women had to wait some time for bathroom! Not sure for the price would have Thanksgiving dinner again? The best two things from the dining experience was the New York Strip and the Valet parking!☹️

Arrived on time, ordered two glasses of Prosecco. Bread came fast. Waitress took our appetizer order (still no Prosecco), the appetizers came in literally three minutes, still no Prosecco. When the apps were dropped off, she attempted to take our entree order. Still no Prosecco. We decided to then leave, everything was comped thankfully. We were there for an aggregate total of 18 minutes and didn’t get our drink, but did get a (poor quality) appetizer and would have likely gotten our entree too quickly. Was a very odd experience. Not sure if I’d go back and definitely not what a date night should be.

Our food was tasty - they may have been busy, but we felt overlooked and unseen. We had to ask for items several times. In the end they made things right with us…I felt bad for our server, I felt he could have used some help. The food tasted good…they were just overwhelmed. Again - they compensated us for the poor experience, we appreciated that.

It took forever to get my order. . I ordered lamb chops well done; had to return them to be cooked. I never received the drink I ordered. My daughter’s food was cold when served. Due to time constraints, I only had two bites of my food before we had to leave. Instead of comping my order, 25% was taken off the entire order which didn’t seem fair to us. Needless to say, the dining experience was disastrous. A 20% tip was added to the bill which was an insult based on our experience. I plan to call management today.

I haven’t been to Georgia Brown’s for brunch since Covid. While I appreciate the precautionary changes (no buffet), you are clearly getting less food for more money. 6 courses sounds great, put the small portions doesn’t really feel like it. Also the omelette is one of the courses, what if you don’t eat omelettes (no substitute)? While there were some things I enjoyed, most was okay. I just don’t feel like our $275 tab (for 3) was really worth it. I don’t mind paying more..I get it, however don’t cut the portions or restrict my choices.

I wish I could say I was pleased with my first post pandemic experience at Georgia Brown restaurant but I can't. It was just bad. I was very disappointed. I do not plan to return. From the moment we walked into the restaurant the experience was unsatisfactory. First, we had reservations for 12:30. We arrived approximately 15 minutes early and we were told the only table available was next to the band. If we didn't want that, we would have to wait an hour. There were plenty of other tables available but we were told they were all reserved - huh? By the way, my husband and I are senior citizens. We were seated by the band and then we waited probably 15 minutes, maybe longer before a server arrived at the table. He did apologize. We couldn't hear what he was saying because the music was so loud. After another extended amount of time, we got our coffee and after some more time, we were brought biscuits. The temperature of the coffee and bread was cool. We placed our order and while we waited, my husband went to get an omlette. He had only two meat selections - bacon and chicken. The omlette was over cooked but it was now 1 p.m. and we had not had anything to eat all morning so he ate the dry omlette. The soup was good but cool. When I called to make the reservations, I was told there was so much food but what I experienced was more like light appetizers. I ordered the eggs benedict and couldn't eat it. The poached egg was undercooked (some of the egg white was still clear). There was a very small piece of Canadian bacon under a large serving of spinach. I couldn't eat it. The next serving was salmon; that was ok, thank goodness. It ended with this awful small tray of tiny pieces of dessert that the two of us had to share. Again, I'm sorry I can't give a better review but it was just bad. Certainly not worth what we paid and certainly not what we experienced pre-pandemic.
