   The steak was fabulous, but was over salted. This was a shame, given the quality of the meat. The service was great, helpful but not intrusive.

   My colleague is gluten and dairy intolerant. His only option for a starter was a carrot! They did have gluten free beer. Other than this a great meal but pricey.

   My 4th visit to a Hawksmoor, supposedly the “go-to” place for steak, but once again the food was underwhelming. Oysters as starter were drowning in weirdly salty water: this did NOT taste like seawater which I love, and the oysters themselves (small and £3 each) had no taste. The main event steak (ribeye, I asked for rare- medium rare but it was medium) was fine, but nothing special. Certainly not flavourful or particularly well marbled. Ditto fries and spinach. On the plus side our service was lovely, and we took advantage of the Monday £5 corkage, a really great idea. In summary, perfectly fine steak house but nothing special. Not sure what all the fuss is about

   Amazing roast beef and accompanying vegetables. Probably the largest and tastiest Yorkshire Pudding I have ever had. Perfect roast potatoes. My favourite place for a Sunday roast.

    Love this place. Food is delicious. We were in the back room, which is very comfortable and a bit quieter. We don't live in London and came for our son's 18th birthday treat. We came to Hawksmoor for our anniversary about 8 years ago, and couldn't wait to come back. Looking forward to our next visit. Hopefully sooner than later.

    We really enjoyed our time, it was our first time at Hawksmoor, and comparing to other steak houses - this one exceeds every expectation. Of course it might feel a bit pricey, but totally worth it.

    Becky and her team never fail to deliver. From the charming, playful receptionists, through the dedicated sommeliers, charming waitresses and talented chefs, a most enjoyable and rewarding experience. Keep it up, super B and looking forward to the next time.

    Met our grandson and his girlfriend for dinner,ordered medium rare steak and it was over cooked and a bit tough. Didn’t want to spoil evening by sending it back etc but very disappointed. Expensive and a real let down.

    Big fan of Hawksmoor. However prices have gone up significantly and we waiting nearly an hour for our steak, the ribeye also was overcooked. Disappointing visit.

    Has gone downhill. The Sirloin was awful and overcooked. The Porterhouse was overcooked and dry. I won't be going back again.

    It’s such a great restaurant. The staff are exceptional, so helpful and knowledgeable. The food is DELICIOUS! We ordered a lot of side dishes too as well as each of us having a steak all beautifully cooked as ordered. The cocktails were also good ☺️

    We went to Hawksmoor for Sunday lunch on Mother’s Day. Overall we had a lovely experience, and the meat as always was excellent quality. However I was slightly disappointed that some of vegetables on the plate were cold/Luke warm, as was the sticky toffee pudding sauce on the dessert. It indicated to me that on a busy day the chefs were prepping food in advance (as you might expect), but not so familiar with heating it up before serving. Ultimately it wasn’t up to the usual standard I expect from hawksmoor where the food is normally exceptional.

    Steak wasn't hot when it arrived plus it was cooked rare as opposed to medium rare that was ordered. Service ok, oysters good, nice touch was a little happy birthday chocolate surprise. Overall they need to step up their game a bit.

    First time visit yesterday, the food was amazing but the restaurant didn’t have a nice feel about it…… could have done with a little more decor to give it some character. But overall I enjoyed the experience

    Visiting again! We sat at the back of the restaurant this time. Nice are but lacking in character, but quiet. Food was great. Especially the ribeye. The Tunworth mash is sort a try. Who knew cheesy potatoes could taste so good. I can also recommend the Dirty Martini. Overall, yummy.

    Thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Hawksmoor Spitalfields. It was a birthday celebration for me and it was a great experience. The service was outstanding from our waiter Mattia who got my sense of humour and made the whole experience a very enjoyable one. The food was superb as was the setting. I do think the bill was a little on the high side but I guess that's London prices to be fare :)

    If you like steak then this is the place for you. I haven't been to other steak places in London so can't compare it to anything but the food is good, cooked how you want it and the staff are friendly and helpful.

    Really good experience, came with my dad who was visiting. Super friendly waiter who was helpful in guiding us with size of steak to order, and was lovely to chat to. Overall the food was really good! Definitely on the higher side price-wise, but it was nice for the special occasion.

    We had two absolutely lovely waitresses, both knew the menu inside out and were happy to recommend things for us. We were very happy with the food, I would say that in typical English fashin thr medium rare is a bit on the medium side but it was still perfectly lovely and my frame of reference might be tpo European. Meat was divine, sides were excellent, oysters very fresh and flavourful. Nice selection of Champagnes as well. We had to head off in a rush and they were very acommodating in getting our payment sorted immediately. Really great experience, the only thing that wasn't quite 5* was just the interior design- the downstairs was just a bit boring, like any other slightly nicer gastropub, given the prices I would have liked to see something a bit more special.
