We had a great time. The food was perfect. The ambience was great.
I love this place. It’s all great. Cozy romantic spot with good food and service. What more could I want?
Skip the bread - it was dry. Otherwise solid food. Gnocchi was top notch. Great date night.
Vibrant lively cafe with excellent fresh farm to table produce. Although noisy we found it reasonable to converse. Always love the food and wine selection. A favourite of ours when we visit SF.
This is a great spot for date nights or friends gatherings, with a variety of food options, many wines by the glass options, and excellent service. We were in a bit of a hurry and could get in and out within an hour. All of us agreed we'd be back.
Lovely food and ambiance!
Excellent food and service. Like going into a good friends home for dinner but with better service.
All of the food was delicious and had a lot of complexity. The wine pairings were enjoyed by my guest. The service was friendly and accommodating. Desserts were great!
Heirloom is our favorite place in San Francisco.
One of the better restaurants I have ever been to in SF. Delicious, beautiful, and a wonderful crowd. A gem of a neighborhood spot.
I have never understood why Heirloom Cafe is not jammed every night. It is a gem and quite the value. Menu is full of new ideas, prep excellent, and a very smart floor staff. Go her and you won’t go wrong.
One if my favorite neighborhood spots. Best (off menu) burger around. Great wine list. Great service. Beware - noise level seems to have increased over time - can be challenging to have an intimate conversation.
We absolutely love Heirloom Cafe. Hadn't discovered it until last year and could eat here every night. Fabulous flavors and a killer wine list. And the staff is super fantastic and friendly, which makes the dining experience really special.
I've lived in San Francisco a long time, and there aren't many restaurants I return to a lot. Many seem overpriced, impersonal, or the quality of the food doesn't measure up. Heirloom is a restaurant that is consistently good, comforting, pleasing, and delicious. The flavors are fresh, and the food is simple but artfully combined to maximize the taste of the excellent ingredients. The wine list is well-curated and not overwhelming. Lovely place to share a few plates with a friend.
Stunning, low key decor in a great neighborhood. Our party of 8 took most of the communal table. Although we ourselves were a disorganized mess, our server Ericka kept us on track, drinking and eating well. Salads are not to be missed, and the entrees were each better than the next. The bread is a perfectly warm, pillowy slice of heaven with creamy, lightly salted butter. Do. Not. Miss.
Heirloom never disappoints. Food, service, ambiance are all top notch. Another great meal, will be back soon.
We were rushed. Second we arrived we were told kitchen closes at 9:30. My reservation was for 9:30. They took my plate when we were still finishing it with bread. We specifically told them we were not finished. Really lame. Don’t take 9:30 reservations is your kitchen closes at 9:30/45
Excellent food and service. We will be coming back!
We like the food especialy the way vegetables are prepared! Going back!
We enjoyed the menu for New Year’s Eve and the Dixie Land Jazz Band. This is a special restaurant.
We have been to Heirloom Cafe many times & once again they did an amazing job. The menu for New Year's Eve was excellent & not as expensive as most places in SF. The wine list is wonderful & it is easy to find something that goes well with your meal & not break the bank. Lastly, the staff at Heirloom is fantastic. They are always warm, friendly, smiling, make great suggestions in regards to wine pairings, & they know the menu. Love this restaurant!
Awesome food and service! Will be back to try more of the menu! :)
This is our second time dining at the Heirloom Cafe and we throughly enjoyed it! It is a neighborhood gem for sure. The food and service are fantastic and it has a very relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely return.
LOVE THIS PLACE!!
Continues to impress, time after time! The food is impeccably plated, and flavors matched without pretention. The entire experience is comfortable while still being elevated. And with customer service to match! My top date spot. :)
Delicious food and great wine pairings. We've been fans for a long time, but this last visit was the best yet.
It was absolutely amazing!!! From the bread to the roasted chicken, it seriously can not be beat. Do yourself a favor and try this place out!!!
Hesitant to write a review because we love this restaurant so much we don't want it to become impossible to get in. Food is always excellent and service is exceptional. Our "go to" for a perfect dinner for two, or with others.
Heirloom consistantly is our top favortie in the city, Kim and Clarence Barker
Hands-down the best meal I’ve had in the Bay Area.
Food was outstanding. Only complaint was that service felt rushed throughout the meal, and the check arrived immediately after dessert and tea were brought out. The tea hadn’t even steeped yet. Otherwise, service was quite good and friendly.
Fantastic! So rustic, original and romantic. Gave my boyfriend and I 3 different restaurant options and we decided to try something new and we are so glad we ventured out. A super quaint and unpretentious restau, where we could have a conversation and gaze lovingly at each other. We ordered the green goddess salad which was out if this world. I expected a creamy dressing but instead got a fresh tangy herby concoction. I was in heaven. I ordered the trout for main course and it was delectable. My bf ordered the steak, he really enjoyed it but both were on the rarer side. The sides were well thought out, and layered to perfection. Delicious wine pairings. Great portions and I left there feeling like I ate at a good friends house. We can't wait to come back.
Consistently delicious food and perfect service. It is one of our favorite go-to spots in SF and never disappoints. There servers are well informed, pleasant and professional, and their wine lists is one
of the best secrets in the city.
We sat at the counter and watched all of the food coming out. It was organized, calm, fun and the food was really delicious. The burger is off the charts. We didn't have wine so we're shocked when the bill came and was so reasonable since we split an app and finished with dessert and cappuccinos. Highly recommend!
The food was ok but not
Amy is the best!
the $85 tasting menu with wine pairing is a terrific deal and the food was delicious. restaurant is a bit noisy and dark, but with an interesting crowd.
Overall great experience. Server seemed new but nice and accommodating.
A wonderful little find in the Mission district while on our last trip to San Francisco. This reminds me of the vibrant modern food scene in Portland, OR.
