Great food (Loved the fried tofu at lunch). Patio was wonderful. Service was attentive. Henrietta's Table is always a great bet.
My husband and I enjoyed a Father's Day dinner here. The mushroom soup was delicious, the cod and asparagus cooked perfectly! The coconut lemon pie was so yummy! Recommend!
We had not been to Sunday brunch at Henrietta's in many years and are now mad at ourselves for not doing so. It is fantastic. Food, service, ambiance. We had anticipated that the price would be far above what we anticipated but it was less. Less than the Colonial Inn in Concord whose brunch has gone downhill so much these last few years.
Will be definitely coming back again. And again!
Always reliable with very fine food, not overpriced.
Terrific place to have lunch in Cambridge for business or pleasure. The service is excellent, the food is consistently good with fresh ingredients, and the Charles Hotel location is conveniently close to Harvard Square. Can be a little noisy.
The experience was surprisingly subpar. I brought business partners from Singapore and Canada here for dinner. The waiter (with a small pong tail) was totally indifferent and could not care less. When he took our order, he had to ask three times and still managed to get the table mixed up. He addressed me as “you over there” while tilting his chin and took my order, which was rude and embarrassing to me because I was the one who brought them here. There were so many other choices in the area, so this experience was really not good. In the middle of the first course, he came and asked if anyone wanted a drink, and one colleague ordered wine, which never came. Not once did he return to ask how we liked our food. It was a Monday evening and the restaurant was not crowded. I have dined here many times and I have never encountered a waiter who just couldn’t care less. Food was good as always. To be addressed as “you over there” with a condescending tone was not nice. The good part is that a tall wait staff who speaks French was really nice and it compensated the attitude of our waiter.
I come to Henrietta's Table with my cousin about once a month. The food is always excellent. My only complaint is that sometimes the services is a bit slow and I feel rushed to eat my lunch. I only have one hour for lunch, and I don't like feeling like I have to hurry. Otherwise, HT is always the best! I rue the day the Yankee Pot Roast falls off the menu...
Not sure how this restaurant has the ratings it has. The food was just ok and the heralded buffet was a disappointment. The price is completely incongruous with the quality and selection. I can not recommend this restaurant.
The food is always wonderful. Plenty of variety. It takes will power to not over do it but the desserts are beautiful and tasty. I also like the seafood.
We had an old friends get together for brunch. Most had not seen each other for years. We had a round table for six, but we squeezed in seven at our choice to enable conversation.
The food selections were ok, but for $55 were not special. The oysters were tiny and somewhat dried out. The other dishes were slightly better than cafeteria fare. Unfortunately, the serving tables just cannot handle the number of diners. There was uncomfortable jostling to reach certain foods.
I would not recommend the Sunday brunch to anyone.
The food was amazing!! Every single dish was prepared with creativity and care. The scallops were as good as any I've ever tasted. Same is true with pork chop. What was probably the hit of the evening was the liver pate! Even if you don't like pate, I think you would love this one!
I loved Henrietta's Table! The food was all delicious and tasted very fresh. Their blueberry and blackberry mini pie with vanilla ice cream was the highlight. The chicken pate special was also delicious.
The food was good but somewhat boring. The atmosphere was very nice. Overall not worth the price for lunch.
The Mahi mahi was overcooked and dry. It took 40 minutes to get our entrees. It was a beautiful evening outside and the waiter tried hard. Many customers including us were headed to the Regatta Bar for jazz. That should have been no surprise to the kitchen.
For the second time service was poor; tables that were seated after us were ordering first. This time we spoke up and the service improved. There was a party in an adjoining room which was very loud and made it difficult at times to hold a conversation in the main dining room. There is no place to be seated away from the noise. Henrietta's Table is not inexpensive and the dining experience was not great again, so we probably won't go back.
Service was difficult.
We were not seated on time (yes, there were stragglers, but we had people present who had time commitments, and were inconvenienced); also, the tone from the host was dismissive and peremptory.
The actual service was quite slow; I had to ask to have our orders taken, for more tea, and (twice) for the check. Your inability to issue either checks per diner or to order the check by seat was also inconvenient.
The food, on the other hand, was delicious as usual.
There was a table of approximately 12 in the middle of the dining room, and the noise level was too high.
Our server was inattentive and extremely slow to respond to standard service levels.
We were seated right away and in the perfect place for a larger party. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere wonderful. The service was not. It was very slow which was frustrating because we had another engagement to get to and we were further aggravated by having our tip already included and not at our discretion. Not sure we will bring a large party there again.
Terrific food and service. This was our second visit and it did not disappoint!
The duck with the confit leg is delicious. I share the plate with my husband and with two sides it’s always enough food between us. Staff is always very warm and accommodating.
If my friend was deaf I would definitely recommend the restaurant; otherwise not. Some soundproofing n the ceiling might help.
This was our first visit and it was great fun to be in Harvard Square during commencement week.
We hope to return soon.
Very good for a business lunch if in Harvard Square but a little loud. I wouldn't go out of my way to go across the river to go to lunch there.
I have been to Henrietta's a number of times and have always enjoyed it. But the entree this visit was the best I have ever had here (prime rib special)! Everything else was great as well. The only teensy negative was that I had to remind the waiter to bring us bread and refill our water.
The best brunch buffet. Service is always impeccable. Food is top notch. I’m usually a bit squeamish with buffets but not here. Everything is spotless and there are servers who help with the food. The broad selection of food means that everyone — from big meat eaters to vegans — have a great selection. My favs? Bagels and lox, shrimp cocktail, oysters, delish salads. The waffles are amazing. Light and airy. The omelets are made to order with fresh ingredients and super large. Ask for a half size if you want to be sure to try other possibilities. There is always a fish dish - as a pescatarian I’m appreciative. But plenty of stuff for meat eaters. Save room for dessert. Decadent choices plus fresh fruit. Oh — great coffee too.
I love the food, staff is great and the atmosphere is perfect for any occasion!
Service was a little slow.
The food was just ok. Portions were very small. We were sitting outside and asked for a side of French fries with the meals. They would not allow it as it is only allowed at the bar menu. Overall not very accommodating. Would not rush back.
The place is kid-friendly -- a definite plus in Harvard Square. Has a kid's menu.
Some of their staff is new - or at any rate don't know what they are doing,
They had no idea there was in fact a kid's menu, for example.
Great food. Server missed.one dish but it was fine. Very busy time so servers were aided by host staff, managers and bartenders
A beautiful brunch buffet, with more options than I could ever have imagined. My children, in particular, loved it. At one point, my daughter said, This is heaven.” That about sums it up.
What a great Sunday brunch experience. The food was amazing! The wait staff was very excellent and the atmosphere perfect. I would go back there in a minute and I will recommend it very highly. Keep it up.
First time there for dinner. Was very good always think more of a breakfast place but now great for more
Good place for breakfast/brunch and lunch. Always consistently good.
One of our most-preferred restaurants, not just in Cambridge but in MA.
Great food and service, especially the roasted chicken for two. But the noise level was brutal
The food and service were wonderful! Henrietta’s Table is always a little loud though.
Good breakfast spot
