Went for the Chicken Pot pie which we had before and is great. Was lied to and told that’s a winter Mente item o ly and they never had it in the summer. We had it in the summer numerous times, only time we visit Annapolis. Had a chicken dinner with spaghetti. Tasted horrible and spaghetti was cold. One person in our party had the chicken and waffles and even that was not up to par with possibly twice fried chicken and cold waffles. With all the options to eat in Annapolis I’m sad to say it will be awhile before we might give them a second chance.
The food and service was very good!
Must get the pop tart!! It was amazing! Husband and I both got breakfast dishes even though we went for dinner and we would both order again. I got the biscuits and gravy, he got the crab hash. The drinks very good as well.
We went to enjoy the weather in Annapolis and decided to have breakfast here. The restaurant is great but I felt like the service was not. Or a server was very nice but we were the only people not really getting our food and we were not checked on regularly for refills or anything. Are there servers were much better at the tables around us. And I felt that my food was a little on the cool side when it was presented. Not really that hot. This is the first time that I didn’t thoroughly enjoyed my visit at iron rooster
First time back in Annapolis since I moved to Europe 2 years ago, and the Iron Rooster did not disappoint! Fantastic avocado crab salad with a spicy Old Bay Bloody Mary welcomed me back to Maryland in classic eastern shore style.
What a fantastic lunch we had - our first time at the Rooster. The crab hash is to die for and my mom had the ham bendict - also very delicious. One of the best bloody mary's that I have had in a restaurant in a long time! YUM!
Great crab, happy hour, autumn the bartender is fantastic!
Celebrated a birthday with a delicious breakfast and Mixed Berry Rootart. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu!
Super awesome breakfast. The cinnamon poptart was outstanding
Our server Autumn made my son’s birthday celebration even better. She is an excellent server with impeccable timing and delightful banter. Our food exceeding our expectations. We will be back soon.
Would definitely recommend. Wasn't expecting the food to be so good. I actually came without an appetite but finished my whole plate due to how good the cornmeal waffles and chicken were.
Also, the drinks were stiff (to my liking) and the ambience surrounding the restaurant is vibrant if you're considering staying out after dinner.
Service was awful! The waiter was ok, he can’t control how slow the kitchen is . They forgot out bar drinks , never got our appetizer, finally got our dessert to go since it was already a 2 hour ordeal.
Sweet server and great food. Lovely weather so we chose to eat outside. Wonderful meal before heading to the yard.
Love the place! Had a grilled cheese and fries for lunch. It was the best!
My 13 year old and I went to Iron Rooster for the first time to celebrate his birthday. We shared the Breakfast Nachos, a bowl of fruit, and an Oreo Pop Tart. The Breakfast Nachos had a great flavor with a ton of toppings and all of the ingredients seemed very fresh, however they were actually cold and I think they were supposed to be hot. When I say cold, I don’t mean right from the refrigerator cold, but definitely room temperature. The chips also seemed a little stale, in my opinion. The homemade Oreo Pop Tart was AMAZING & the fruit was fresh. I do wish they had a Latte or other specialty coffee option instead of just regular coffee, but that is more personal preference. Our waitress was absolutely awesome and gave us our Pop Tart on the house with a candle when she found out it was my son’s birthday. Overall, it was a nice meal & we would definitely come back for a Pop Tart, but unfortunately I wasn’t blown away by our Breakfast Nachos, which is a bummer because I have heard so many great things about the food at Iron Rooster. Not sure if we will be back for a full meal or not.
They would tseat us outside for outside reservation. A
Best breakfast in Annapolis. No exception.
Service was exceptional! Which is rare these days! You must try the Roostart! So yummy!
There is no better breakfast in Annapolis. Period.
We had dinner and breakfast at the Iron Rooster during our stay in Annapolis. Highly recommend their version of Poptarts! The food was delicious, and we enjoyed being in the heart of Annapolis for our meals.
The service was incredible, and when my friend was a little late, they were attentive without being aggressive even though the restaurant was full! I highly recommend going for lunch or brunch. My chicken benny was delightful and the homemade pop tart was out of this world.
Excellent food and service in a safe outdoor environment
The food and service was outstanding. The staff was very friendly! We will come back!!
We got our food extremely quickly, but it was luke warm. It seemed like it had been sitting around for a bit. My mimosa was a bit heavy on the OJ but still good.
Food was very tasty!
Iron Rooster is a great brunch spot. The servers are kind and patient. They quickly correct mistakes and make sure that everyone is comfortable. I truly enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. Give it a try!
Server & food was good, hostess not so much… wanted to sit upstairs she said nothing was available but less than 3 mins later a family walked in & wanted upstairs & took them right up.. not sure why that happened
25th Birthday brunch for my daughter, party of 3. Our waitress was adorable, very friendly and checked on us often. Food - WOW! Fried Green Caprese (over the top good), Shrimp & Grits (have mercy), Pancake w/eggs and bacon (very good, the brown butter was amazing), Waffle Churros (daughter's fav-Yum), and the RoosTarts (let me just say, I'm glad this restaurant is very far from my home!!!!) My daughter and I also had mimosas. Wasn't my fav but was a nice birthday drink.
Excellent customer service. Great and consistent food.
The massive tents outside immediately reduced this establishment’s classic Annapolis charm. The food is better than most local restaurants, but the tempting menu descriptions don’t quite translate on plate or palate.
Waiter wasn’t attentive food came out cold.
Delicious breakfast meal! Great service. A must if visiting!
We chose this restaurant because we enjoyed it before Covid, this was our first time out in 17 months. We were happy they created an out door space however, it was not very comfortable … picnic tables just don’t cut it, we are grateful for the safe space so not actually complaining, and it could be so much more inviting. The menu changed my 2 favorite things gone☹️ oh well the fried green tomatoes were perfect Thank you😊 the avocado strawberry toast was perfect Thank you😊 the Brussel sprouts flavor was perfect however, we could not eat them because though they had been “roasted” they were raw inside and unable to be chewed let alone digested… please parboil them first to soften and then roast so the are soft .. we took them home cooked them to perfection and ate them! Thank you😊 staff was very attentive and tried hard to please Thank you😊 we will return! Thank you😊 for working we really appreciate getting out again. Thank you😊 for wearing masks!
Do not recommend sitting outside. No air circulation and it smells like sewage. Just not a good part of DTA. Overall food and service are great, although there are no inexpensive options for breakfast.
Classic Annapolis dining with charming ambiance and decorations. Tables are spaced nicely to the point where you can hear someone else! Brunch is extremely popular, so make a reservation in advance! Service was moderate, but it's probably because they are always so busy.
Very enjoyable. We were not rushed and our waitress was adorable
In a word - DELICIOUS!!
You arrived at the restraunt 20 minutes early and were told that we would have to wait till our reservation time. There were several tables that needed to be cleared. Five minutes later were told our table was being cleared which took 15 minutes. Tjr food was delicious however getting a table with reservation is very difficult.
Appetizer of fried green tomatoes was never received
