Dined at Jue Lan this past weekend in hopes for an upscale asian environment and authentic food options. We got a series of appetizers and an entree order of the Sweet & Sour chicken which had this sticks red sauce that seemed like it came right out of a bottle from restaurant depot. The sauce had a strong smell of pepper and a very strange taste. The appetizers were all seafood based with the exception of some dumplings which tasted like dishwater. Overall extremely disappointed with this experience especially because it cost $240 after tip for some frozen appetizers and mediocre seafood, we didn't even get any alcohol. Save yourself the trouble, dine at a steakhouse for this price.

Hostess was extremely rude. For a restaurant as expensive as Jue Lan, I shouldn’t have to wait to be seated to “start my 90 minute timer.” Food is good, but won’t be coming back.

The place is nothing more high priced local Chinese restaurant quality food. I don’t see the hype. The food is low quality and that of a local Chinese take out place. The only think that’s ok is the appitizers. The good was the drink and the main menus ship it. Just go get drinks and apps

I expected more, I made reservations for my husband’s birthday thinking it was a nice restaurant to celebrate. And honestly this place is more like shopping in city and needing a place to eat. However, the service was good. I didn’t have to wait too long and the food was good. But for the price it could’ve been better.

The server Hannanh R was rude to my table. She seemed to be rushing us and pushy whenever she interacted with everyone in our party. If we didn't know what we wanted Hannanh R seemed to be annoyed. Compared to how I observed other tables were treated, it was as if there was a rush to get my party out. We had to ask for the dessert menu after the check was brought to my table as the server assumed no one in the party wanted anything. I was disappointed in the service since I've patronized the establishment many times before.

The food and vibe was good but I made a reservation and still had to stand in a lllloooonnnggg line like I never made a reservation. My reservation was for 9pm I was not seated until about 10pm. What was the point of making a reservation if it was a First Come First Serve policy. They need a better system.

Loveeee it. Left concert and arrived to the restaurant over 30 mins early for my RSVP but was able to be seated immediately. Love the food . Baby bok choy a must . Oxtails buns must. Satay must. Crab tacos must. Lobster dumplings a must. Lo mein house style only way!!!! -sporty

Jue Lan is a great go-to restaurant for me . I was very unhappy with my seating being outside after i specifallt required in-door dining. The hostess gave a very “ take it or leave it “ experience. Overall the food , drinks and server were great. The playlist was superb !

The wait time on Mother’s Day was longer than expected I’ve been to this restaurant many times before and never waited more than 10 minutes but on this particular day the wait time was about 30 minutes to 45 minutes the restaurant itself has a beautiful ambience on this particular day I had the opportunity to sit upstairs which was different for me but nevertheless still a nice experience the weather was extremely nice and very apologetic due to the wait times for the food but that was understandable given the Mother’s Day rush the food was of course delicious and I will definitely plan on coming back

Even with reservations you had to wait too long for a table. They were very unorganized. I believe they overbooked theirselves. Due to that service was slow. It took 30 minutes for a glass of hot water. I ordered chicken fried rice and i received seafood fried rice. I have a shellfish allergy. Hopefully this isn’t their norm but this past Mother’s Day was very unorganized.

The courtyard area was newly renovated, in a Mexican theme. The choice is a bit odd for a Chinese restaurant, but, very festive and beautiful! Plenty of folks talking photos. Food was really yummy and we enjoyed the Beijing cocktail.

The food was pretty basic (apps, entrees, and rice) and honestly came out so fast from the kitchen, I suspect that much of it was pre-prepped ahead of time which led to it not tasting as good as it could, especially for the price. The drinks were very expensive ($23 for a Tito's martini) but were made well. The service from our server was the best part of our experience. He was fantastic, made solid recommendations, and was very attentive. We won't be returning.

The only problem was the service. Everyone was nice but I believe we may have been forgotten about. Our waitress did not check up on us after receiving the food. After waiting for at least 30 minutes, we got out waitresses attention to ask for boxes.

I went for my boyfriend's birthday! At first I felt a little rushed but my server was so nice & accommodating. He allowed our other two guests to join us although the hostess said they would not be allowed since they did not arrive with us. Overall we had a great time. We loved the food but the drinks were amazing.

The food was good and our waiter was amazing. We were seated upstairs in a room with no music & everyone in the room was Black. It didn’t feel right. When we walked out, we noticed that more white people were downstairs. This was my first time coming here and I doubt that I will be back.
