This was my first visit to this restaurant. The food was not good. The lemon chicken was dry. My son asked for a medium rare steak, and it came medium. I did not care for the stir fry chicken I ordered. It just did not have a great taste to it.

The food at Mona Grill is quite good, though the selection is not very diverse. The service is good, though the food takes time to come to the table. The price of the joint is quite high, I don’t honestly see the price justifying the experience.

We did not have an enjoyable experience at Kona Grill Plano. It was our first time there, and we thought it was going to be an upscale place given the price point. We had reservations, and were seated in the bar area. It was 7pm and there was a DJ. I asked to be moved to a quieter location, but was told that there wasn't anything else available. I could not hear the waiter or the manager when they came by to check on us. Our party of four had to yell to each other in order to have a conversation. The main entree, prime rib, was alright, but it left a lot to be desired. We had to ask for refills of water and soda. It was definitely a disappointment.

Everyone’s main course was over cooked. The desserts were out of the Cisco box and totally dry. There were very few people in the restaurant and yet the service was extremely slow.

We had a great experience at Kona Grill to celebrate my mom's birthday! We had 7 in our party and everyone loved their meals. The only thing that wasn't perfection was the heat coming in the large (and beautiful) windows. It was a little warm, but hard not to be in Texas. Our server was awesome - very attentive and friendly. We'll definitely be back!

It was a very frustrating experience to be seated and then not have a single person acknowledge our presence. On our way out, our hostess commented that the server knew we were there but had no other comment to indicate concern with our dissatisfaction. We will never visit this restaurant again. It looked like it needed our business.

We had lunch at Kona Grill for the Restaurant Week special - 3 course lunch for $24! What a bargain and a great opportunity for us to try a new-to-us restaurant! Between the two of us we tried the chopped salad (just fantastic), edamame, chicken Pad Thai, and a grilled chicken and avacado sandwich. For dessert we had a slice of cheesecake w/raspberry sauce and a massive piece of carrot cake. Couldn’t finish it all but every dish was very tasty. Service from “Jazz” was just excellent and attentive. From the warm greeting from the seater to a stop from the manager, our visit was just wonderful.

The food was very good, and the service was excellent. The total bill for 5 was $286 after tip. That is a little expensive, particularly considering that two of those meals were kids' meals.

We normally enjoy sharing appetizers for lunch but ordered an entree for dinner this evening. Snapper was over cooked and under seasoned and clearly overpriced. Service was below average. We will not return for dinner.

Margaritas were terrible. Our sweet potato fries had a giant chunk of thread in it. No one apologized when we brought it to their attention - just brought us a second order and comped the one item. Acted like nothing out of the usual happened - it was so weird…

I went for brunch with a friend ordered my eggs scrambled with cheese when I informed the waitress that she forgot the cheese on my eggs. She brought me back a hot plate with melted cheese not on the eggs but a separate plate with melted cheese. I’m done

Food is decent but not exceptional and is very overpriced (all apps about $20). The best item was meatball appetizer - 5 meatballs. Decent wine selection as well although my first glass of white wine was room temperature, and the drinks come out VERY slow. It was also overly warm inside.

Our third trip here. On this visit the restaurant was uncomfortably hot and gnats were buzzing our table, even though we were far from the door. Food is good but seemed overpriced for the quality and ambience.
