Went here for day after Thanksgiving dinner with family. We ordered sushi rolls, macadamia nut crusted chicken, lettuce wraps, potstickers, and a cheeseburger with fries. All food was good with the chicken a stand-out in flavor. The rolls were average compared to other places I've been to. The one real problem, in flavor, for me was my lobster roll. It was made with cream cheese which, in my opinion, overwhelmed the lobster flavor and all I could taste was the cream cheese. Very disappointing. The deserts were great! I had the chocolate cake which was actually a several-layer cake and pretty big in both size and flavor, but not too rich.

We made reservations for 8:00 pm and were seated. Our party sat at our table for 20 minutes and not one waiter or waitress came to us, not to introduce themselves or even say we will be with you all in minute. You might as well say we were invisible because no one came to talk to us. We will NEVER return due to lack of hospitality and LACK of diligence to serve customers.

Huge waste of hard earned money! Spent $100 on a crappy steak that I realized from the chewy fatty end could no way be a Fillet for $45 cuz all it came with was nasty reheated shoestring fries while my hubby got fish that wasn’t worthy of Long John Silvers but at least he got steak fries! Overall huge disappointment and waste of money!

I vowed to never return here as it was so bad on my last 3 visits. However, it was my friend's birthday and she requested it. I am happy to say that the food and the service was excellent and they acknowledged her birthday.

Overpriced for the portions. My entree came out with wrong side. They took it back and replaced the side but re served an ice cold entree 10 min later. Disappointing birthday dinner for sure

This was my first visit to this restaurant. The food was not good. The lemon chicken was dry. My son asked for a medium rare steak, and it came medium. I did not care for the stir fry chicken I ordered. It just did not have a great taste to it.

The food at Mona Grill is quite good, though the selection is not very diverse. The service is good, though the food takes time to come to the table. The price of the joint is quite high, I don’t honestly see the price justifying the experience.

We did not have an enjoyable experience at Kona Grill Plano. It was our first time there, and we thought it was going to be an upscale place given the price point. We had reservations, and were seated in the bar area. It was 7pm and there was a DJ. I asked to be moved to a quieter location, but was told that there wasn't anything else available. I could not hear the waiter or the manager when they came by to check on us. Our party of four had to yell to each other in order to have a conversation. The main entree, prime rib, was alright, but it left a lot to be desired. We had to ask for refills of water and soda. It was definitely a disappointment.

Everyone’s main course was over cooked. The desserts were out of the Cisco box and totally dry. There were very few people in the restaurant and yet the service was extremely slow.

We had a great experience at Kona Grill to celebrate my mom's birthday! We had 7 in our party and everyone loved their meals. The only thing that wasn't perfection was the heat coming in the large (and beautiful) windows. It was a little warm, but hard not to be in Texas. Our server was awesome - very attentive and friendly. We'll definitely be back!

It was a very frustrating experience to be seated and then not have a single person acknowledge our presence. On our way out, our hostess commented that the server knew we were there but had no other comment to indicate concern with our dissatisfaction. We will never visit this restaurant again. It looked like it needed our business.

We had lunch at Kona Grill for the Restaurant Week special - 3 course lunch for $24! What a bargain and a great opportunity for us to try a new-to-us restaurant! Between the two of us we tried the chopped salad (just fantastic), edamame, chicken Pad Thai, and a grilled chicken and avacado sandwich. For dessert we had a slice of cheesecake w/raspberry sauce and a massive piece of carrot cake. Couldn’t finish it all but every dish was very tasty. Service from “Jazz” was just excellent and attentive. From the warm greeting from the seater to a stop from the manager, our visit was just wonderful.

The food was very good, and the service was excellent. The total bill for 5 was $286 after tip. That is a little expensive, particularly considering that two of those meals were kids' meals.
