Italian
La Dolce Vita opened its' doors in Beverly Hills in 1966. The biggest celebrities in the world lived only moments away, and La Dolce Vita literally became their second home for decades to come. Regulars included the Sinatras, the Reagans, the Pecks, the Douglases, and the Bloomingdales. It hosted every sitting US President since the Kennedy administration, and was known as a haven for titans of industry and finance. Deals were made with a handshake, and everyone was certain to arrive on Thursdays for Osso Bucco. Now, La Dolce Vita moves to the future, following a seven month 'facelift,' during which the restaurant was restored to its' original pristine condition, reprieving the original menu, recipes, and decor. La Dolce Vita arrives once again as a popular dining and entertainment destination, now home to young Hollywood and those seeking the traditional cuisine of Italy.

Great to return after years. My uncle (an old time Hollywood director) lived on Spalding and we'd meet there; but that was a decade or more ago.
Matre'd was exceptionally cordial and the food was quit good. (On par with La Scala or the Grill) Not too much selection but that usually means better quality... Pricey but ok size portions.
Calamari Friti was excellent as was the Lasagna.

Will be returning... (Park in the BH Public lot entrance on Roxbury and Santa Moncia and walk the 1/2 block.

The service was good, but the spaghetti and meatballs (a house specialty/homemade) were not. I had to use a knife to cut through the tough meatballs and I didn’t want to even eat the other two. I don’t mind spending money on good food, but $29 for a small bowl w/ bad meatballs was robbery.

I love this place! Old school Italian vibe. They have a new chef and have added some items to the menu. The eggplant and beef carpaccio were spectacular...even the sautéed spinach was extra special.

Such an anomaly on Saturday night with the wait time. We waited 40 minutes before our dinner order was taken, then it took 1:20 hours before our dinner came out. Never have had this experience before, but the food, the server staff and especially the drinks were amazing, as always.

Old school charm in this small Italian bistro. The small size and dark ambiance transports you to a different place where good chatter is being bantered about over wine and food. Had salmon special over risotto which was exquisite. Tiramasu for dessert is a must.

One of the few restaurants left in Los Angeles with the former glamour of the city still in full view. The bar is a fabulous homage to yesteryear when Sinatra and company were regulars. LA is a city that is not respectful enough to its history and la dolche vita has maintained and captured what made the town’s reputation great originally. I better not say too many more wonderful things about the place, rather keep it As one of bev hills best kept secrets!

Saw a tv special about La Dolce Vita and thought that’s a cool restaurant. Then while we were in LA for a doctor appointment we decided to check it out. It was even better than we expected. The atmosphere was wonderful, the service was stellar and the food was delicious.

It was exactly what we wanted. A quiet, classic Italian restaurant with a full bar and great service. Drinks prices were on the high side, but food and service were en pointe.
Thank you for accommodating our group.

What an absolute disappointment of a dining experience! Save your time and money. Frank Sinatra would be shaking in his grave if he witnessed the travesty of a Valentine’s Day dinner in which my girlfriend and I shared last night at La Dolce Vita.
If you enjoy paying $90 a person for a pre cooked plate of spaghetti and meatballs and over cooked dry chicken Milanese, then this place is for you! How this restaurant centrally located in Beverly Hills can still pay their bills is absolutely shocking to me.
The staff clearly half assed everything they could have last night at dinner. And to add insult to injury, they felt the need to include 25% gratuity onto my bill! This was an outrageous gesture considering there were only two people at my table. Not a party of eight or a party of nine, which is standard when it comes to automatic gratuity added to a bill. After demanding that the 25% tip they took for themselves be taken off my bill, I was treated with petulance and a nasty attitude from the manager and bartender.
I frequent and enjoy exploring new restaurants in LA on a regular basis and cannot remember leaving a dining establishment with such a bad taste in my mouth.
Best of luck to you La Dolce Vita, you’re certainly going to need it!
