Please Join Us...Our task, which we take great pleasure in, is to transport you...leave your inhibitions at the door, embrace a little dose of erotic abandon, let go and let us do the rest.Macao Trading Company takes its inspiration from the brothels and opium dens of old 1930s Macao...an exotic time-out-of-time place...mysterious, adventurous, decadent.Whether an intimate dinner, large party, or late night dining, take advantage of our signature Eurasian cuisine: a sumptuous blend of Chinese and Portuguese influences.Located on Church St, at the edge of Tribeca, Macao’s décor is a dramatic composition of lighting, relics and industrial iron work. The high ceilings and tucked away location provide a fitting setting for the restaurant’s 1940s portside warehouse feel, recalling the adventure of Macao’s "red lantern district." Nice place. 40$ for a simple branzino without any sides is a bit intense. For a European slight insanity even. But it was nice.

Wonderful squid ink risotto, a special to celebrate the feast of the Redentore in Venice. Entire meal highlighted Venetian cuisine, with beautifully & simply prepared sea bass and an enjoyable Vitello tonnato. Very modest wine list; perhaps that could be improved to match the quality of the cooking, but we had a perfectly acceptable Lugana.

I loved it. The ambience was immaculate and the service as well. I do think this restaurant it is very popular because of the name. Very hyped. Food was okay, if i have to be honest i had better japanese food for less but i can understand the hype. Loved the service and loved the vibe, very relaxing and quiet. I really enjoyed it and i didn't feel pressured to eat fast. They took care of us and followed the instructions for birthay and gave us a nice table. I would give them a 7 out of 10.
