The name Zacatlán surged from the origins of our chef, Eduardo Rodriguez. He was born in Zacatecas, Mexico (north-central Mexico), which is defined as "the habitants of the land where grass grows". Zacatlán is the nahuatl translation for "land with an abundance of grass", and that is where our idea of Zacatlán Restaurant began. Zacatlán Restaurant desires to continue to preserve the traditions for our upcoming generations, while bringing forth new flavors. These new flavors incorporate Southwestern and Mexican influences. We are established near the Santa fe Plaza, right off of Guadalupe Street. We want to unveil a new fusion of food for everyone in Santa Fe and those who visit.

A truly great experience. The food was spectacular, from appetizers to dessert. Exceptional food in presentation, flavor, ingenuity and style. Palate Pleasing. This is fine dining without all the frills of white table cloths. Great local find. Service and attention were perfect. Don’t let the restaurant size defer your decision to dine at Joseph’s table. You will not be disappointed.

Zacatlan was stellar on 19th July 2024. Service was friendly and well-paced. Food was excellent. We shared the burrata appetizer. Bar none, the best we’ve ever had. I had the stuffed chile relleno. Very creative and flavorful. My husband had the pork dish and it was so tender. Both moles on our dishes were excellent. We finished by sharing the bread pudding. Yummy. We tried the tequilas and mezcals - although not long lists to choose from the variety was perfect. We will definitely be returning on our annual visits to Santa Fe.

We made a happy hour reservation for outdoor seating - as soon as the host confirmed our reservation we were immediately seated on the patio under the large umbrellas. The wait staff was prompt, attentive, and professional. We had several yummy appetizers (beef tips with queso, beef nachos, risotto, pork tacos. The avocado cucumber soup was amazing!!! The carrot cake was a large portion. The happy hour menu has numerous appetizer options and drinks specials - the prices can't be beat!

We love radish and rye! The food is really really good and the service is great. A quality dining experience in Santa Fe that makes you feel like you’re in a bigger city. It is a bit loud for people that have hearing troubles, just a heads up :) Unfortunately we asked to have our leftovers boxed up and our server forgot to bring them back to the table before we left. I called when we realized and said that we’d come back for them and was told by the hostess that they’d have it waiting at the front for me. I drove all the way back downtown and the hostesses and server apologized and said they’d been thrown away. Stuff happens, for sure. But I wish the hostess would have told me that on the phone before I drove 15 minutes back down to collect the boxes…. We were looking forward to the leftovers because the steak was SO big it was worth three meals. Stuff happens but they could have told me that or called me back and at least stopped me from going back for nothing. We will be back, otherwise it was a great evening

We had a wonderful time at Coyote Cafe for our 52nd anniversary! Our waiter, Andy, couldn’t have been nicer nor more attentive. He, as well as others, came to our table to check on us frequently and to congratulate us. The meal was enjoyable as well. Neither of us really can say we love kale, but the kale salad with pine nuts was quite tasty. The grilled lobster was delightful with that smoky charred shell taste. The pork had great flavor if a bit dry. All in all - a great place to dine. Thank you for such a lovely evening!
