Our story: The StockHouse is result of four people with an avid love of good food, good times & good value. Having both eaten out and working in various establishments both in Ireland and abroad, and having spoken about opening our own restaurant on many a night out it finally came to be when Mick and Orla approached Tom and Carmel about the possibility of opening a place of our own. Overall a good experience. Steamed dumplings to start were very good. We were disappointed that we couldn’t substitute the sauce on the sea bass for something less spicy. But at least they put the sauce on the side for us. Then the veg on the plate were basically raw - not steamed nearly enough. We should have sent them back in hindsight. Duck pancakes were really good. And instead of the more usual lack of staff this time it almost seemed that they were over staffed and different people kept asking us the same questions. Good problem to have I suppose but a little intrusive. Atmosphere was very good.
