Tex-Mex cuisine began in the Rio Grande Valley before migrating up to San Antonio during the l860's where a group of women known as The Chili Queens' began to pop up in the city's plazas selling chili con carne with tamales, enchiladas, and chili verde. They incorporated cumin into their dishes favored by settlers from theCanary lslands, which still has a strong influence on Mexican food in Texas. Tex-Mex also loves beef, flour tortillas, yellow cheese, fajitas and more. Our inspiration comes from the many classic Tex-Mex restaurants including Sylvia's Enchilada Kitchen, Papasito's, Ninfa's, Blue Goose, Hugo's, Herrerra's Cafe, Chuy's, Valentina's Tex-Mex and many more. Jackalope combines excellent Central Texas-style smoked meats from Jack's BBQ with delicious Tex-Mex dishes. lt's truly the best of both worlds!

Perched above Pioneer Square, Firn at Populus pairs skyline views with a creative and delicious cocktail menu. Drinks are ingredient focused, carefully concocted, and draw inspiration from the transitional nature of our environment and the concept of water and its transition through the phases of the water cycle. The food is a simple offering that complements the cocktail program and is designed for sharing. With an open-air setting and a lively atmosphere, it’s the perfect destination for good drinks and great company. Due to the possibility of inclement weather, all reservations are for interior seating. Our team is happy to accommodate outdoor seating where possible (please note your preference in the reservation notes). Firn is a 21+ establishment.

An understated storefront hides a coveted skyline view—just one of the many ways you could underestimate this longtime cafe on Mount Baker’s main drag. The menu, the sign—even the name—are a bit of a throwback, but current owners Guy Devillier and David Hoefer took over in 2018 and keep things attuned to today. Carbonara packs more nuance than you might expect, the slightly crackly pizza’s better than it has to be, and the bar pours lambrusco and negroni. No wonder tables are loaded with a diversity of diners.

JaK’s Grill is a neighborhood steakhouse. We keep it simple: quality beef, seafood, seasonal produce, plates with some weight to them, and the best in service and hospitality. Nothing flashy; just a menu built around value and consistency. We've been part of West Seattle and Issaquah for nearly 30 years, and we’re still here doing what we do. Reservations are a good idea, but not required.

Authentic Central Texas Barbecue featuring the Texas Trinity - Brisket, Ribs, Sausage. Great craft cocktails including our famous Smoked Orange Old Fashioned. Incredibly good desserts like Peach Cobbler and Pecan Pie. Super delicious Breakfast Tacos. It's like taking a trip to Texas the minute you walk in the door.Owner Jack Timmons grew up in Texas and has lived in Seattle for the last 2 decades. In 2012, he attended BBQ Summer Camp at the Meat Sciences department of Texas A&M, then toured many historic barbecue temples of Central Texas. We had a wonderful brunch experience at Musang! We ordered the Bangus Silog, Lumpia, and Beef Tapa, and every dish was packed with authentic Filipino flavors and beautifully prepared. The bangus was perfectly cooked, the beef tapa was tender and flavorful, and the lumpia was crispy and delicious. The highlight of the meal was the banana pudding dessert—it was absolutely amazing and the perfect way to end our brunch. Rich, comforting, and not overly sweet, it was a standout dish that we would order again. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent. Musang does a fantastic job showcasing Filipino cuisine with both traditional flavors and thoughtful presentation.

The food at Tomo was excellent. The service was likewise excellent. We especially enjoyed the halibut crudo, the glazed chicken and a pork chop that was the best I have eaten in my entire life. And I have eaten a lot of pork chops. Parking was easy and free on the street. I highly recommend Tomo.

Really loved this spot! We were meeting up with friends and chose the location because it was equidistant, but happily discovered a new favorite! Service was a little slower, but not offensive, and it allowed us to connect and catch up without stopping regularly. The vibe is casual and fun, nothing uptight here. It's lively, but still allowed for conversation. Our server was lovely - very friendly and professional, and answered candidly about her favorites and preferences on the menu, which is always appreciated. Around the table, we had enchiladas, tortilla soup, street corn, carne asada and tacos - and everyone was delighted with their food. Everything tasted incredibly authentic. We will look forward to returning!

We had a great experience and will definitely be returning! The menu offers a really creative fusion of BBQ and Mexican flavors that works surprisingly well. While the portion sizes on the entrees were a bit smaller than expected, the quality of the flavor more than made up for it. The absolute highlight of the meal, however, was the dessert. We had a stunning bread pudding served with coconut ice cream and an agave syrup drizzle—I could have easily eaten a thousand of them. It is a must-order! Despite how busy it was, the service remained very attentive and professional. The noise level was quite high, but considering it was Cinco de Mayo, the high energy felt appropriate for the occasion. If you’re looking for a vibrant, fun atmosphere with unique flavors, this is the spot.

Seattle Restaurant Week menu - all the components were delicious! The fish was fresh and the sauces brought all the flavors together really well. The Gordita was stuffed with meat and cheese and tasted rich and delicious. The outdoor patio is comfortable and seems festive, with lights and hanging lanterns and everyone having a great time (seemed like the spot for the larger groups). Cocktails were so good - unique flavors and pretty presentation. Highly recommend!
