Just a little bit about the history of our wonderful hotel!There have been various owners of the Railway Hotel over the years, including: Cowan, Gabriel, Molloy, Cronin, Place, Toomey, Berardi and McCall. In 1979, the Hotel was bought by Western Suburbs Football Club, who used it as their home-base. In 1998, the Club sold the Hotel to Phil and Bill Flemmingham and then moved their headquarters to Walkerston.In 1975 during a wild storm that swept through Marian, the upper story of the Hotel was destroyed, and it was then reconstructed as only a single story air-conditioned brick building, with motel style accommodation.

    We celebrated our granddaughter's birthday with a lovely brunch. The staff were amazingly helpful, organised and professional. The little children's area is wonderful for little ones to play in, while under the gaze of their family, while waiting for the food. Everyone ate well and expressed how lovely it tasted and filled them up. As we have been previously, the baristas asked if we would like to taste some new beverages they were trying, after we had finished our meal. We accepted and enjoyed the new twist on some old favourites. The baristas were kind and generous with their offer, and also asked for truthful feedback, so we did. It was a lovely way to finish our morning.

    First time dining at the Ban Na and we were very surprised how tasty the food was and will definitely be back. It wasn’t noisy. Staff were polite. We had to wait about 20 mins for our entree but was well worth it. We had the vegetable spring rolls and crispy prawns as entrees. Stir fry vegetables with chicken and Cashew nut with chicken as Mains. Coconut rice and egg fried rice.

    We sat outside on the lawn,as we ha our little dog with us. There were other people with kids and dogs, and everyone was enjoying themselves, as it was a beautiful evening and the music was great. The food was delicious. We will be back again.
