Spectacular! The room was inviting, cozy, intimate and energetic at the same time, with fantastic views. Our appetizers, entrees and desserts were each delicious, with great flavor profiles and unique presentations on the plate. Our entree selections of the surf & turf, elk tenderloin, and braised short ribs were beyond excellent. The star of the evening was our sommelier - Katie. She listened to our flavor preferences and gave us pinpoint recommendations that ranged from mid prices to more premium levels. She helped us select a 2010 Chateau Margaux that was the best wine we have had in a long time. In addition, she used a Riedel Swan Decanter to present and pour the wine - stunning presentation! Finally, for our after dinner drinks, she poured us each a Grand Marnier Centenaire in a snifter, and then warmed it prior to presenting it to us. What a way to finish a spectacular evening.

This was our first time to 221 South Oak. We are from Boston and have eaten at many fantastic restaurants in the major east coast cities. 221 South Oak is as good, if not better, than most of them. The room was quite cosy and had the look and feel of being in our hosts home. The menu ingredients were locally sourced, remarkably fresh, and combined in ways that were both inventive and delicious. Every dish we had was remarkable - and left us impressed with both the presentation and flavor profiles. The service was equally excellent. Kelsey was attentive, knowledgeable, gave great recommendations, and was our guide thru a remarkable evening. This was one of our best dining experiences in recent memory. We were impressed!

This is one of our go to places in Telluride where we have been coming fo 30 years. Food is always fresh & innovative with friendly service. Best of all for us they have dog friendly tables in the beautiful lobby area

Kenny and Anina were incredible. The food was delicious, wine spectacular, and the conversation was wonderful. Such a fun night. Never had duck that tasted like Anina prepared it. Kenny, we will be by to visit you in Italy!
