Restaurants near Detroit People Mover

Recently I celebrated my mothers birthday here. She loved the experience, but I felt it could’ve been better. The food was wonderful and the drinks. But I didn’t like that there werent any complimentry birthday accommodations from our waiter. It would’ve been nice to bring our a small dessert and say happy birthday. Yet, our waiter knew we were celebrating a birthday and did nothing. I didn’t feel service provided was anything special. It was just ok and once our bill, $200+ was paid we left the restaurant and the waiter chased us outside of the restaurant over not tipping. I thought we had left something the way he ran to us and was waving us down to catch up. It was a very unpleasant situation to be in. You don’t chase people down for not tipping. Not tipping if you feel the service wasn’t as expected is a personal choice. Gratuity isn’t automatically included at this restaurant, and I didn’t appreciate the waiter further lying and saying we had to pick a suggested gratuity amount to pay. We still ended up tipping after we were ridiculed over it. Just to avoid a further unpleasant experience and to avoid being rude. But like I said I won’t be back I’ve never experienced that.
