Translation of amar in English:amar (ah-mahr)Verb1. To loveWe think the word AMAR is the most beautiful word in the Spanish dictionary, whose root "amma" (AMOR) is born from the first sound syllable that a child expresses to a mother. It is a reminder of the purest feeling of humanity. Born in a family with a passion for Gastronomy and Oenology, we opened our first French Wine Bistro, Cepage[s], in Notting Hill, London in 2014. Driven by the success of Cepage[s], my father Felix Cohen, who lives in Grenoble (French Alpes), came with the idea to open an authentic french cuisine restaurant in El Paso. Our concept is to create a cozy atmosphere, featuring delicious bistro style sharable appetizers and classic popular dishes from diverse regions in France paired with a great selection of wines and cocktails. Our name, Entrecôte, is a very popular Ribeye Steak dish served in bistros and specialty restaurant in France. We are very exited to start this new adventure and offer a unique experience to El Pasoans and visitors from out of town.

Experience was great, and restaurant was accommodating to last minute change to our dinner plans by adding two more guests to party. We were seated outside and arrangement was ok but stools were not for us. No back support and not comfortable for attire of some guests. Hostess and waiter Matt did meet our request to move to a lower table and a different seating arrangement was provided fairly quickly. Just for future reference please notify guests of seating area (outside) and stools (no back support). But 4.5 out of 5 stars for us Food and service was amazing Thanks

Hidden gem in El Paso! Really good food! We were not sure what to expect - having never had Peruvian food before - but it was all delicious. The corn and the empanada appetizers were both really good. My husband's steak (filet) was cooked perfectly medium rare. My truffle pasta was delicious - so rich. The only problem was that we were too full to try the yummy-looking desserts! So now we have a good excuse to go back. Great red wine by the glass and the old fashioned was very good as well. Reservations strongly recommended.
