    It's a few years since we dined here and always loved it and as we were in the area celebrating my 70th birthday we knew there was only one place to dine! Our starters were calamari and meatballs, both amazing. For our mains we both had fillet steaks and have to say they were the best we've ever eaten. Absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The accompanying chips, onion rings and pepper sauce were fab too. Those chips are THE BEST. I only wished we lived closer. Just fab-u-lous. I think we'd book a stay in Hexham just to eat at Verchelli's.

    I booked a table for our anniversary and the whole thing was a breeze. The restaurant and staff are outstanding, it was a busy day due to a lot of graduation meals but at no point did we feel rushed or forgotten about. The staff were phenomenal, friendly and knowledgeable. The food was out of this world (who knew pea soup could taste that amazing?!) The wine pairing and knowledge was fab just the right amount of info for us wine novices. Such a lovely meal from start to finish. We will be back

    Lovely food and great staff. They made several changes to my granddaughter's meal, as she has an egg allergy. And explained what she could eat from the dessert menu without being reminded of the allergy. She was thrilled, because there was vegan sticky toffee pudding, which she's never been able to eat, because it usually contains egg. Well done staff of the Beaumont!
