Founder Dave Rather graduated from Towson in 1991. He spent many years socializing in the York Rd. corridor. He created Mom’s Social Club that brought New Orleans bands to Baltimore for New Years Parties and brought Marylanders to the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Having success with the social club, Dave started working on a tavern concept. His brother Adam, the cofounder and executive chef, learned his trade in St. John, Virgin Islands from Chef Aaron Willis.
