We make it a point to eat at James Beard or Michelin star recognized restaurants when dining in a new city. Scales ranks at the top of our dining list.More infoScales$$$$• Seafood• Portland•4.9
- MMacyHouston •2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoOur time at Fore Street was incredible. The moment you walk in they know and remember your name, a card was on our table for our celebration evening as well. The waiter we had was so thoughtful and thorough. I have a lot of dietary restrictions and they were able to easily accommodate and change whatever was needed. The food was absolutely the best seafood we had our entire trip. We enjoyed the squash salad, seared Tuna, grilled Octopus, lamb ribs, and Scallops. All were our favorites. Worth it and highly suggest!More infoFore Street$$$$• Contemporary American• Portland•4.8

The lodge is sequestered under huge white pines along the edge of the most beautiful lake on the East Coast. Cocktails are on the veranda and randomly outside wherever you wish and the cocktail hour is laid-back, as are the table times. Once you have your reservation, the table is yours for the evening, so you go in to eat when you're good and ready. Men must wear a jacket, But otherwise it's country casual. The food is straightforward American fair and is excellent. It will not compete for exotic with the Old Port in downtown Portland, but this is not why you come here. If you want an excellent straightforward meal in an atmosphere that is almost indescribable, but something out of "On Golden Pond", this is your place.!!!More infoMigis Lodge on Sebago Lake$$$$• American• Casco•3.5
