The staff was cordial and helpful, beginning with the hostess and our server, Jon, and ending with the people who cleared our table. The meal absolutely delicious. Even the foodies in the group were impressed.

Outstanding service and food. One of our favorite restaurants in Santa Cruz and our latest visit was no exception.

Our second dinner at Alderwood within the last few weeks. both on a Saturday evening. We go early (5:30), so restaurant is not crowded and noise level is acceptable. (And street parking is good. though there is a city parking lot just across the street.) Service is excellent. Absolutely love their roasted potato appetizer. Perfectly crusty exterior, tender interior and a bright chimichurri sauce. Also had their Brussels sprouts with roasted garlic, pork belly and maple glaze. Delicious. Entrees were the trout over a jalapeno creme fraiche. Trout was cooked perfectly with a lovely, crispy skin and moist interior. Their cacio e pepe squid ink pasta with truffles is lovely -- actually very light for a pasta. Portions are ample and we always have a bit to take home. Like their Aperture wines.

We had a wonderful time at La Posta. We sat outside, enjoying our delicious food and served by the most friendly and gracious staff. We highly recommend this little spot in Santa Cruz for anyone visiting or living nearby.
