For centuries, a taverna has been a neighborhood gathering place where friends can meet to eat, drink and enjoy life. Taverna co-founders Thanasis Pashalidis and Hakan Bala were raised with a shared ethical compass, which the Greeks call "philotimo" or "love of honor". Family and friends are their ingredients of life, and they believe that nutrition, happiness and health are all directly correlated. Both partners have been culturally influenced by the remedies of the old world and incorporate them into the lifestyle of Taverna. Both have an "ethos" that drives them and inspires others to live fully, which they consider the flavor of life's success. They understand that life is to be enjoyed and that time is of the essence. They are aware that every day is a gift. Taverna has been created to make people happy and feel alive.

Though I requested indoor seating, once I arrived and realized how noisy it was inside, I requested to be seated outside - which they managed to do expediently. The food was generally great. Both Croquetas were amazing, as were the Patatas Bravas. We were not impressed with the Gazpacho Salad & Tartare, nor the Spanish Meatballs. The Cocktails were quite nummy - we especially liked the Mare & Tonic. Prices seemed reasonable (<$100/person including drinks.)

What an awesome day that was! I was so excited to return to this Nobu spot in the lovely Palo Alto, California! I have been to other Nobu spots in Southern California because I have been there before. It's awesome to be back and finally for almost a year or almost 2 years. I made a reservation for noon and I was happy to be the first one to go in for lunch. Before diving into the review, I'd like to thank the hostess of that time for a welcome and also, a nice and comfortable table! Being welcomed into Nobu is awesome and I am happy to be back at Nobu Palo Alto. I got some nice water and hey, it's nice to stay hydrated! I went for a simple and light lunch. A nice lunch too! I went for two things and they are: The Nobu Style Tuna Sashimi Tacos and the Shrimp Tempura rolls! The servers are awesome and I was happy to get my cup of water refilled. Definitely stay hydrated for sure! The mini tacos are so cool and the presentation is awesome. It's nice to enjoy the flavor of it and enjoy it with hands for sure. For the shrimp tempura rolls, I love the rolls and great flavor! I love the crispiness of the tempura inside and man, with the wasabi, soy sauce, and ginger, so awesome! I love sushi and seafood so, I am easy! Great time today and I can't wait to be back next time. I haven't had the breakfast at Nobu Palo Alto in so long and I would love to start my mornings off with not just a great breakfast, or a beautiful day, but in a nice overall "bang" to be awesome and happy like I am today. Also, thank you to Nobu and the wonderful people there! Can't wait to come back again and definitely would love to try the breakfast there!

Wife and I tried the new RH Rooftop after my follow-up appointment at Stanford...and it will definitely be on our shortlist of places to eat in Palo Alto going forward! Sophie was our server and was the perfect blend of personality and great service. Food was great...had Di Stefano Burrata starter, the Mulholland Drive Salad (amazing actual chopped salad!), a side of French Fries and for a desert we shared the Housemade Chocolate Chip Cookies (warmed up!) and the Affogato! The view and vibe of the rooftop patio (both inside and out) are amazing!
