    We got a last minute reservation. The food was simply stunning, well conceived and executed. Stars of the night included a pea soup redolent with pea essence. The beef tartare exceeded all expectations, utilizing filet mignon, kimchi, smoked bone marrow. Stunning! The beef risotto hit all the high points, with rice still with a slightly firm texture, and filled with flavor. Beef cheeks, meltingly soft, were accompanied by excellent dumplings. All in all, a magnificent meal, that exceeded most that we have eaten in Paris, at one third the price. Bravo!!! Alain Ades, M.D.

    The brunch menu at Batak is very nice, several egg dishes that are typical for brunch. Appealing plating. The ambient is cozy, the staff is very friendly. And mimosas! I would only maybe suggest moving the brunch hours to a bit later time, as at 9am it is simply breakfast.

    We've had a wonderful experience at Batak: the food was absolutely lovely, the grill is top! The waiter was very friendly and quick, so overall visit went well! We will definitely come back!
