DANIEL DEL PRADOBorn in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Chef Daniel del Prado is the child of parents of Spanish and southern Italian descent. After moving to the United States in his early 20s, del Prado began his culinary career in Colorado—cooking at night and snowboarding during the day. Upon moving to Minneapolis, he had the opportunity to work in some of the finest kitchens in the Twin Cities. In 2009 del Prado teamed up with his mentor, Isaac Becker, to open Bar La Grassa in the North Loop. When it came time for del Prado to open his own concepts, he burst onto the Twin Cities scene with his premiere Linden Hills restaurant, Martina, and opened the Oaxacan Mexican-influenced Colita just a year after. Chef del Prado has continued to open new and innovative concepts.

Please check in with hosts upon arrival for patio seating.Although named for the boats used to catch lobster, Smack Shack was launched as a food truck in 2010 serving lobster rolls from a land-locked downtown Minneapolis parking lot. Owner Josh Thoma had a great recipe and a belief that appetite for fresh lobster in the Twin Cities was as strong as any coastal city.Smack Shack is committed to serving sustainable seafood and is a current partner in the Minnesota Zoo’s Fish Smart program. Margaux, aside from being one of our favorite wine appellations from Bordeaux, means “pearl” in French. Maison Margaux is the pearl we found in our community during one of the most turbulent times our world has faced. This multi-level space has been masterfully designed.     Celebrated our 10-year wedding anniversary at Porzana last night and it could not have been more perfect. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff made the evening feel special. Our waiter Stefano was phenomenal, attentive, warm, and genuinely invested in making our night memorable without ever being intrusive. That kind of service is rare and it elevated the whole experience. The food matched the service every step of the way. Hands down the best steak I’ve had in Minneapolis, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Every course was thoughtful and well executed. If you’re looking for a restaurant in the North Loop for a special occasion, Porzana is it. 10/10, we’ll be back.

    We sat at the bar and the service and drinks were awesome! The turkey burger I had was the best I've had in a long time - flavorful and juicy. The sausage pasta my husband had was also excellent.
