Easily one of the best restaurants in Seattle. Each bite was well seasoned and delicious.
The woman that answered the phone was rude curt and inviting. I like this restaurant but the staff taking calls need to take a lesson in customer service
The meal was great and our service was amazing.
Quaint atmosphere apps where very small and overpriced. The Halibut entrée was excellent. The service was not good Karissa was not engaging pompous and unfriendly. Definitely not a repeat for me
Overrated not creative food expensive small portions all entrees served lukewarm even though the place was not busy
We came to Lark to celebrate my husband's birthday with his brother and date. We were seated in a corner booth where we could have privacy for our celebration, and although we were tucked away, our server was attentive and knowledgeable. Each dish we ordered was delicious, and the pacing of the meal was perfect with no long waits or awkward pauses. Finally, my brother-in-law's girlfriend could not find a cocktail she liked on the menu, and our server suggested that the bartender could make her a drink suited to her personal tastes. After consulting with her, the bartender made not one, but two cocktails that she raved about and that she said paired nicely with the dishes we were served. It meant a lot to my husband that he got a memorable meal, but also that his guests were treated well too. Thank you, Lark, for a fine birthday dinner!
My wife’s squid no pasta was cold, her hamachi appetizer was over-seasoned with coriander. My daughters gnocchi and my Arctic char were delicious
You will want to go there for all your celebrations. The food was sublime.
The Hamachi crudo was fresh and wonderful. It was served with shaved fennel. We also had the venison and it was the perfect medium rare. It was served with a delicious Yorkshire Pudding. The food is classic yet inventive. Pure perfection.
First time to this new location, I think even better than their original offerings. Great service, atmosphere and food. Venison best I have ever had, octopus perfect and pork belly luscious! Highly recommended.
Used to be a lot better. The prices, food quality, isn't as good as it used to be. And Seattle, you think you're a food place but you're not. And it's not really that close. The fact that Lark is rated so highly really makes the case that Seattle does not know food.
The beef rib special offered on Sunday and Monday nights made us wish that every night was a Sunday or Monday. We walked out on Cloud 9 and wanted to immediately plan our return. Pure enjoyment.
We went to Lark to celebrate retirement. Our waitperson was knowledgeable and engaging. We really enjoyed everything that we ordered: burata as starter, squid ink spaghetti and fish of the day (Alaskan salmon)! Brown sugar cake and quince tartine for dessert. Happy that Lark focuses on locally sourced.
Excellent food - best meal in a long time and I eat out a lot on business. I normally would not order venison but waitress recommended and it was incredible. The foie gras appetizer out of this world. Great service. Will go back.
Wonderful food and drinks without being unnecessarily overpriced. Excellent service and pleasant atmosphere. Not too crowded or too loud. Pretty much perfect.
Great food. Great service.
Food and overall service was fantastic. Rough start, when we arrived the front of house seemed a little out of sorts. Despite having a reservation that was made weeks ago it felt like we surprised the staff. Two tables were hurriedly pushed together near the door to accommodate our group of four, would have thought they would have been more prepared for a reservation. The server was fantastic after the initial confusion and the food we delicious! Table had the Pork Rillettes, Foie Gras, hanger steak, gniochi, and wild boar pasta... everything was amazing! Desert was the Tarte Tatin and Meyer Lemon Sorbet... we will be back, such an great restaurant!
We had a great night with delicious food and impeccable service. Highly recommend!
We had such a great post Valentines meal here. The service was unparalleled - genuinely friendly, helpful, professional. I decided after ordering a cocktail that I was more feeling their wine list ( which is a perfect blend of local and overseas labels), and they removed the drink from our bill. The food was amazing - we had their cheese plate and muscles (outstanding), their pork belly and burger main courses (unbelievable) and a special chocolate hazelnut panna cotta (super). Great atmosphere with the dangling cafe lights and rustically elegant decor. Would definitely rec'.
Food was truly fabulous; simple and refined and super fresh, like in Europe. We had a 5:30 reservation for four and to our surprise when we got up to leave it was 9:30! Loved our time there. It was so very relaxing. My only hiccup which I will bring to the attention of the restaurant is this. I brought two bottles of a French Biodynamic champagne because I have allergies. We ordered the beef rib for two and felt like a beautiful Chateuneuf du Pape to accompany it. The red was superb. Upon check out we were of course charged $30 corkage fee for both of my bottles which I would have sucked up had we not ordered the CDP for $100.00! I think that the restaurant should have removed at least one of our corkage fees. We dined for hours and enjoyed from their menu and wine list. Our server (both), one early and one who joined us a bit later on were both fabulous and exhibited true professionalism.. I would have said something about the corkage at the time but we were so relaxed that I did not want to spoil the moment.
Lovely ambiance, this place always fits the bill for flattering lighting and intimate conversation. Servers are pleasant and attentive but not intrusive. Food is divine but approachable. A real favorite and a true date night spot in the old fashioned sense.
We love Lark. Always wonder for date night, special occasion or business celebration. John and Kelly run an amazing gem of a restaurant. We can’t be more positive about the food, ambiance and overall experience. You should go just make sure we can book a table too!
Excellent in all respects.
Lark will not disappoint! First class food and servers make the entire experience flawless. A terrific wine list, and creative and class cocktails grace the beverage menu. Chef's specials keep the menu fresh and seasonal.
There were good and bad things and I'm hoping it was just an off night for this place.
First the bad...
I ordered the entree sized pasta with boar Ragu at $30.
- it came out lukewarm.
- the waitress didn't check back for over 10 minutes
- it was similar in size to what a child's portion might be. Pasta is cheap, be a little more generous!
- the pasta ( at $30!) was not hand made, it was the dried stuff you get at the store
- the sauce was bland tasting, similar to what you would make at home with canned tomatoes and ground meat.
Now the Good stuff...
- the very kind waitress comped both our meals (my friend ordered the same thing)
- everything else was delicious
-the place is lovely with a great ambiance, wait staff were friendly and pleasant.
I guess I would just suggest, don't order pasta here. Save that for another place that specializes in it. Other than that, just a lovely place.
We had scallops (“nothing special”), fried cod on a bed of greasy rice/mushrooms (ok, nothing special), and a cheeseburger (“delicious”). Steak tartar was good. Gnocchi was tasty. Service was perfect. I researched high quality restaurants and chose Lark. Disappointed.
Lark is one of the best restaurants in Seattle. Excellent, interesting, but not show-offy food. Fabulous service. A place where the customer, not the chef, is at the center of the experience. It's a restaurant for grown-ups. Being able to carry on a conversation with your dining partner is a rare treat these days. I don't come here often but always come back!
Lark is a gem consistently outstanding!!!! One of the very best restaurants in Seattle!!!!
The food was outstanding. I had the scallops and they were wonderful, cooked just right. My husband had the burger and was definitely not disappointed. Our friend had the duck leg which she said was fabulous. It was a very enjoyable evening.
It was pleasant and comfortable. Service was great and professional. Food was delicious and unique.
Overall, we are satisfied and hopefully to visit back soon.
Just awesome, as always. Keep up the great work!
Food is off the chats amazing, go
Dined at Lark on the recommendation of the principals at FareStart. In a word magical. I felt comforted and enticed simultaneously. The team there should be proud of what they’ve accomplished. Chris took care of me as I ate as a single at the Bar and the experience was awesome. kudos to the Lark team. I’ll be back.
Always good way to enjoy dinner with my husband. Love our server. Hate the parking issue.
The service was exceptional, and i'll be back for the gnocchi asap.
Great New Year’s Eve Experience. They did a prix fixe four course dinner that made eating here on New Years more expensive than a usual dinner here.
Always the best! The lighting in the dining room is way too bright, otherwise always a treat.
Anniversary dinner! Cozy room, excellent service and delicious menu. We loved our time here!
