For anyone who values great ambiance and an appreciable sense of history, Crawford’s Bar and Grill is undoubtedly one of the best bars in Sioux Falls. The bar occupies a historic brick building downtown, formerly a butcher’s shop that opened in 1896. Notice preserved features like raw brick and quartzite walls, permanent soot stains on the men’s room walls (the space was previously used for smoking meat) and the original butcher’s meat cleaver on display. Vintage accents like weathered leather sofas, panels of cowhide and an old railroad track repurposed as a footrest under the bar add to the memorable decor. Great food and drinks do justice to such an interesting space. The menu focuses on steaks and seafood, while the bar offers comprehensive beer and wine lists plus both creative and classic cocktails. Go on a Sunday for brunch and live music.
