Wow!! What an experience! It’s not cheap, but quite worth it. It’s too bad the whole world can’t experience a gastronomic experience like this. Worth the investment!

We went to Blu on Avenue Road for our 3rd anniversary dinner and had a quiet romantic table on the ground floor. Staff went out of their way to explain the menu and our choices. It was clear that they were very loyal and loved their jobs and the place. They did give us some quiet time too. Then we were told the restaurant was about to close because of a huge rent increase at their lease renewal. We hope the new location opening on King Street West will come close to the beautiful spacious building on Avenue Road. Even if it does not we will be there because the food and service is so good. We each had an amazing scallop appetizer and we were glad we did not split it and had our own. For main courses the pasta, lamb and beef tenderloin were cooked to perfection. We were too full for ordering dessert but they brought a tiramisu to share and we were able to finish before leaving happy. We can’t wait to return to the new location in May.

Best oysters in town, and these Port Hardy ones were firm, flavourful and good sized. The fried smelt were unique and excellent, something different to enjoy. Only downside was the roasted zaatar squash. It came out as a sloppy salad with a lot of mushy feta (I think), overly big chunks of arugula (I think) and only a few small bits of squash. The squash had no roasted texture or flavour. After a great start I didnt want to make a fuss, but it did not come up to the menu description or a pleasant surprise. Still my favourite Vic hangout, just hope they fix the squash.

It's also a very generous portion, so I'd probably recommend one person ordering the Burrata, and others ordering other appies and then doing some sharing!

Nice evening with friends - surprisingly busy for a Monday night, thankfully we had reserved and were given a nice table. Polite and efficient greeting, my wife checked her coat in; large selection of cocktails, including negronis. And extensive selection of wines, mostly by the bottle though there are a few by the glass. Menu options were good - covering seafood and the usual steak and duck, along with a few pastas. Prices are on the higher end considering portion size but presentation and taste are very good - so worth it. Desserts options are more limited - 3 to chose from when we went. Very nice ambiance and the service was very good so would return.

For special occasions, Sabor cannot be beat. Celebrated my 70 birthday in style. The place was very busy, buzzing with energy. Our waitress, Annie, was very good. Pleasant, attentive and efficient. The food was the star though. My wife started with the Portuguese seafood soup, and said that it was amazing. It had large chunks of fish, lobster, mussels, clams and huge shrimp. I enjoyed the ham and cheese croquettes with the mustard sauce. We both had the lamb, which had the most amazing eggplant curry sauce, and delicious roasted vegetables. We topped it off with the Decadent Dark Chocolate cake, which lived up to its name. The place never disappoints!

Opened in 1986 by Uli Blume, it was one of White Rock's original waterfront restaurants and quickly became a favourite among locals for its great food and friendly atmosphere. Uli's son Tyson took over operations in 2008 and he picked up right where his father left off – providing the White Rock waterfront with a fun and relaxed place to enjoy a vibrant atmosphere, stunning water views, refreshingly simple food, an extensive international beer list, and a diverse selection of wines. Amazing food and service at Victoria’s! We celebrated my Birthday by having an extraordinary dinner and desert . Our Server was exceptional and very attentive to our needs. The famous Caesar salad was delicious with crisp croutons and chunks of warm ham on top and the beef tenderloin simply melt in your mouth amazing! We will definitely come back to enjoy again!

Greeted promptly, politely and seated by the window, perfect the manager kept checking in politely to confirm everything was great.. Emma our server was the best server we had on this trip. Derek at Quattro was the runner up. Back to Emma and The Wildflower Restaurant at The Fairmont Chateau. Pleasant, relaxed, special restaurant. Great food, we had the chowder, beet salad, split the Main Special, "Chilean Sea Bass" and had one desert, Peanut Butter and some incredible ingredients (you need to go try it and read the menu yourself.) We will be back and we'll hope to see Emma again.
