This year’s list was determined by analysing more than 730,000 reviews left by our diners. The top ranked restaurant received their award at Restaurant Magazine’s National Restaurant Awards on June 11th. My wife and I dined at Pidgin, where the food displayed immense creativity and meticulous craftsmanship. Their ever-changing weekly menu, featuring seasonal ingredients, added an exciting twist to our dining experience. While some dish descriptions from the servers were a bit challenging to fully grasp, every bite was an absolute delight. Even the simplest items like bread and butter were elevated to a state of culinary sublimity. However, the true star of the meal was the dessert—a peanut butter cookie served with cream and peanut butter ice cream. It was a heavenly treat. I wish I could've had another portion! The restaurant's ambiance exuded warmth and coziness, making us feel right at home. The service was exceptional, thanks to the highly knowledgeable staff. I wholeheartedly recommend giving Pidgin a try for a unique and delicious dining experience.

We had a fabulous lunch from the set lunch menu. From the minute we arrived the service was impeccable. The sommelier helped with our choice of wine and advised well. The waiter knew his stuff and was able to give details of every part of each dish we were considering. The little extras between courses were very tasty. It’s not cheap at Mere but you certainly get what you’re paying for. Didn’t see Monica but they did a nice candle and piped birthday wish for one of our party. Would highly recommend a visit to Mere.

We had a wonderful experience at this establishment, and it was made even more memorable thanks to the exceptional service provided by our server, Antonio and his crew. We had the Dry Age Filet and the Halibut. For dessert we chose the Apple Tartare. The dessert was very light and filling. Our dinners were delicious and also filling. Five stars! Five stars! My wife & I would recommend 10 out of 10!

Gauthier is one of the best fine dining experiences I've had -- and unparalleled for vegan, French full-course meal. The mix of flavors , textures, colors, smells added to each bite. One of the best meals I've ever eaten... Came here for a birthday treat with my partner. Everything about the experience was perfect: from the hospitality at reception, the impeccable and friendly service in the bar and restaurant, to the food itself. It's not cheap (although the express menu is very good value) but represents good value for money in terms of the quantity and quality of the food. The steak and lobster were the highlights, but there's something mouth-watering on the menu for all appetites. Highly recommended for a special occasion.

1st visit here on New Year’s Day after receiving the cookbook for Christmas. Our curiosity led us here for dinner. The whole experience was excellent. Staff and service outstanding, so helpful with guidance regarding our order. Food was beyond expectations. We could not fault anything. Wish we had a proper French Bistro where we live. Enjoyed this much more than a similar priced upmarket chain the night before. Lamb shank fell off the bone and my wife's vegetarian amin was really tasty. Desert looked home made which is a rarity these days. The people of Leeds are very lucky.

Booked for husbands 50th birthday and noted that on my booking and also asked for a table by the window. Received a lovely welcome when we arrived at the restaurant and the staff wished my husband a happy birthday. We were then lead to a window table with an amazing view of the river and Tower Bridge. Want to say thank you to Smiths for a wonderful evening, fantastic service and amazing food.
