Die gemütliche Traditionsgaststätte präsentiert sich seit dem Umbau völlig neu, hat aber ihr gemütliches Ambiente mit der Holzvertäfelung und dem Parkettboden behalten. Der Gastraum bekam große Fenster, die sich zur Terrasse hin öffnen lassen. Der Eingang wirkt jetzt offener und großzügiger. Modernisiert und verlagert wurde der Thekenbereich. Dort wird zünftiges Bier aus dem Holzfass serviert. Im Saal gibt es weiterhin die urgemütlichen Bänke und Tische, aber auch kleine Sitzgruppen mit Ledersesseln. Stammgäste müssen auch auf das kultige Ledersofa nicht verzichten, das jetzt einen prominenten Platz vor dem großen, grünen Kachelofen bekam. In der Inneneinrichtung zeigt sich die Gaststätte nun mit viel Liebe zum Bier

Amazing experience for the taste of German Swabian food and excellent beer! We got lucky to make it just in time for the last weekend of their seasonal beer- Berg Herbstgold! The interior is superb as well- starting from the door handles and end with the chandelier!

The restaurant decor itself has very cool and special design elements, the location itself being very unique. The staff is very young but absolutely professionnal and knowledgeable about their menu. We ordered two delicious cocktails, one starter to share and a meat and fish dishes as mains. All in all, there was nothing to criticise and we would visit the restaurant any time again. On the plus side the owner, Tim Mälzer, was present that night and although he was very stressed, he took the time for photos with some of the customers!

We asked for a table outside with a heater. It took quite a while for them to remember that we were out there but once we reminded them service was very good. I had the special "Holiday in Italy" which was excellent, with trout perfectly cooked. My husband had labskaus, also delicious. Portions were large.

Koi is a fantastic Japanese restaurant located on Wittelbacherplatz. It also made it to the Michelin guide in 2024! On arriving, we were immediately seated at our table on the 1st floor. The decor & ambience is cosy, comfortable with warm lighting. Was impressed with the service throughout the evening - kudos to the team. To start with, we called for a Japanese Lemonade and a Miyazaki Fizz (good, steady drinks). The food was delicious - for starters we had the Crispy fried calamari, Horenzo Gomae (both were outstanding), for mains had the Bergpfeffer Dorade (must try) with a Japanese Sweet potato side (average) and Ebi & Sake Maki (fresh and good). We wrapped the meal with a Chocolate Fondant with Sesame Icecream (tasted like a regular dessert elsewhere). Great evening, enjoyed the food (high on flavour!). A great final dinner in Munich! Wonderful food, service was excellent and we enjoyed every morsel. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the fries - both regular potato and sweet potato were amazing!!! Beef tartare was excellent as well.

Good restaurant overall! Good was really yummy, nice mix of International cuisine. Portion size is also good. But drinks were a big let down - have you ever had room temperature Margarita without salt on the rim? We are ok with variations if it tastes good, but nah! Even the cocktails were not exciting at all! We did mention it was a special occasion in the booking, but they did not care honestly! No one asked! Again going there? May be not!

First time visiting, and we based our choice mainly on recent reviews. Service was great, the waiters gave ample time between courses and were attentive but not intrusive. Our meals were good, food arrived hot, delicious. Nice ambiance, excellent views, low noise level. I would definitely go again.
