26/9/2023 - arguably the best and most consistent 5-star restaurant in Montreal and definitely the West Island. I hosted my sister for lunch in the dining room. From start to finish everything was perfect. My sister had the filet mignon on mashed potatoes. She said it was the best steak she ever had. In addition, Rashid who served us was absolutely outstanding In recommendations, kindness, and knowing what to do and when to do it. A true professional and just a great guy who makes you feel very welcome at 40 Westt. I love this place. My sister and I have agreed to make a 40 Westt lunch a must-do every time I come to town. Thank you, Rashid and the entire team. 👍👍🙏

Drinks and food were wonderful. I had the Euphorie cocktail and my husband had an old fashioned. Both were excellent. We had the mushroom ravioli and foie grois with “creme brûlée”. Both were delicious. Entrees were beef bourginon, duck breast with wild berries, scallops and lobster, and chicken breast with Brie. All were fantastic and the presentation was excellent. We finished with chocolate mousse, creme brûlée, napoleon, and Chambord soufflé. The soufflé and mousse were the best. Service was superb, from wine recommendations to attentiveness. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back.

Bonterra is one of our go-to restaurants, the food is always amazing and the ambience is excellent! I usually go during warmer weather to sit on the best patio in Calgary, but new years day in Calgary is not conducive to dining al fresco :-) so this was my first time dining inside - not as lovely as the patio of course but it was still very nice. The food was so good - there was 6 of us for a birthday dinner and so we were able to try a good variety of items on the menu, everything was well prepared and delicious, and the Bartender's Baby cocktail special was a big hit. Best of all was our server, she was an absolute delight and very attentive and friendly (without overdoing it).

We had not been here for years… that was dumb! We had a wonderful dinner. Campari and soda, then a reasonably-priced and delicious pitcher of Bordeaux, just enough for 3 glasses… the restaurant brings bread (the best we had in the city!) and butter and rillettes (also the best we have had). I had the special, Camembert roti over thinly -sliced endive with a mustard-seed vinaigrette… inventive and delicious. My husband had the lamb shank which was beautiful and really good, and I had quenelles, which I rarely see on menus and these were amazing. We were seated at the window. My only complaint is that there was very little room between the tables for two at the window… I would take out the one nearest the door! The servers were very sweet and efficient and we had a wonderful time.

Grilled sardines appy was lovely. The grilled seafood dinner for 2 was ample, tasty and a nice presentation server was very knowledgeable and helpful with wine selection. Always a bit ironic when it takes longer to be served than the length of time they say say will give you to dine when making the reservation 😜 but we were not in a rush. Tartlet dessert was amazing and worth the wait (as larger parties we’re getting their entrees) but our coffee was getting cold and we finished it before dessert came.

Make this a destination when in Vancouver. Travelling from the UK we were given the place as a must go to, by a Canadian friend and it didn’t disappoint. Great staff, wine list carefully created and the sommelier helped us find the perfect match for our food, and the food was perfect, two of our group had a pasta dish which they raved about, my friend and I had the pork belly special that was cooked perfectly. The ambience is buzzy but not overbearing, people waxing lyrical about the food no doubt. Will return if ever back in Vancouver !

Exceptional service and very patient with us as we changed our mind on sitting out on the patio during a windy day. They helped celebrate my parents 45th anniversary and made it so special. All staff were extremely cheerful and responsive to all our requests during our visit. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked, and very filling.

Even tho the cost was fairly high the food was excellent. Portions are too large as even an 8 oz prime rib roast was monstrous! Big portions of side vegetables is enough for 3-4 people. Only fault is I ordered flourless chocolate cake but was served chocolate fudge cake which I didn’t care for. Dinner for 2 with cocktails, 1glass wine, coffee & dessert just under $200. Very nice ambiance and server was excellent.

If you're looking for somewhere to have a quiet, romantic dinner on your anniversary, this is not the place. Food is good. Service was very good. Cost is pretty high, no ambience and it's VERY loud. Nearly impossible to have a normal conversation. Even our waiter had to raise his voice to be heard over the noise. Some people may enjoy that. We don't, and probably won't be back.
