We were three for new years lunch and feasted on wonderful sushi rolls and sake. The food and its preparation was outstanding. Service was exceptional. The decor and carpeting however have seen better days. We noticed torn and frayed carpet seams and things needing replacing or renovating. A hard thing to address right now considering the misery of lost business due to the pandemic. I understand.

We loved LaVoile. The service was attentive and the food superb. I don'tknow about the atmosphere when the restaurant is very busy on a weekend. We went on a Monday night. It has the feel of a bistro in France. Especially of note were the Duck A L'orange ( done just right with the orange not too sweet), the magnificent onion soup, and the dessert of crême anglaise with French meringue). We would go back again.

We went here for dinner for two on a Saturday night. The indoor dining is cozy, but there is room for everyone. The staff included French speakers. We heard a buzz of French around us - but mostly English. The menu is in English, for which we thank the establishment. We had crab croquettes to start along with excellent cocktails, then salad Lyonaisse, which comes topped with poached eggs. We had grilled shrimp on the side with that salad and roasted peppers. Not big eaters, we shared a bouillabaisse which had the best grilled baguette - best because it was bread alone, without butter or garlic. Dinner was accompanied by a glass of red wine - from Lyon - and sangria. I had heard the sangria was good and it was - give it a try before scoffing. Topped off the dinner with a terrific lemon tart, a glass of port and two sips of champagne which appeared at the table gratis. You mileage may vary there. Altogether a very nice meal. Food arrived promptly and hot. We will be back. We both recommend this restaurant.

Great addition to the Seaport. Management on site was very gracious and welcoming. Staff excellent. Food was very inventive & good, adding nice variety to the array of Seaport restaurants. Food was a little slow coming out. Wine selection very limited, but we were informed that there were bottles not on the list and they did a great job helping to get us a couple of good bottles of wine.

I knew we were in for a great experience when the restaurant called to inform me the patio would be dreary (due to the rain) and thought we should move inside. The service and food were amazing. This was my first experience at a Brazilian steakhouse and I was not disappointed. This is a high-end place with a great ambience, though fancy clothes are not a must. It's a guys place and the guys dress like guys, though it's still a very nice place. Regardless, the food was absolutely delicious. The meat is what you go there for and there wasn't one cut of meat that was disappointing. There was also plenty to go around. The best part about the experience is the extremely friendly and eager-to-satisfy staff. They were attentive and seemingly so happy to have us there! I was there for my boyfriend's birthday and they did it so well and in such a classy way! The whole night was great and I will definitely be back - this time with friends!

We visited the 52nd Street location. This used to be a really nice place. Now the ground level looked unkempt a dirty. We sat upstairs by the window which was not bad. Otherwise the table were packed in which doesn’t make for pleasant dining experience. It took a long time for the waiter to come and take the order. Once she came she was not pleasant and acted as if she had some place to be. Food was good, but nothing special. Not sure we will be back. It lost completely the cool and hip vibe it used to have.

For some reason they sat a couple before us that did not have a reservation and checked in after us. When I asked why, I was given an excuse that made no sense. An apology would have sufficed.

Food and ambience is wonderful at MTC. The lobster noodles, while delicious, could have been a little more voluminous both in noodles and lobster, to justify the price. The croquettes were so incredible that some of my family members said they will order several servings of it for a main course next time. The fried fish and the steak (for two) were delicious as were the sides of eggplant, shishito peppers and coconut black rice. The last time we dined here, we sat outside on a beautiful summer evening. It was a little too cool for that this time, and it was nice to experience the indoors.

We try to visit Palma when we visit our son. We usually sit in the back room. It is a great room. It wasn't available this visit, so we sat in the parklet out front. It was wonderful. Very tasteful. Our birthday girl ran late, which was totally understandable by us due to the inclement weather. Our waitstaff were also very amenable to our lingering while we waited, bringing us drinks and appetizers. We never felt pressured or rushed- in fact, Paul our waiter was very responsive, personable, and sweet. He even got the music turned down to a conversational level. The food was truly delicious and fulfilling. Overall, everything was great. Not a single complaint. Thank you.

And, as they have been every year for more than a dozen years, they were flexible and welcoming when we came for Rosh HaShanah lunch following services with a larger group than expected, and when we needed to downsize our Yom Kippur break-fast reservation because of some drop-outs. With a varied menu, a reasonable noise level--especially for lunch!, outdoor options, reasonable prices for the neighborhood & the quality of food, and most of all that welcoming and flexible attitude, they have become a valued part of the holiday experience when our group of far-flung friends bonds over a meal after services.

A charming experience from start to finish. We were greeted by a friendly host who took our coats (more about this) and brought us to our table and seated us. She also had drink recommendations (mine was perfect), also available as a mocktail for my daughter. The rooms are beautifully decorated, traditionally ornate, as are the table settings. There’s a nice selection of teas - and you have the ability to change your choice. Our cups were filled frequently, as were our water glasses. The courses are set for the 5-course prix fixe afternoon tea experience, but we did have a choice of soup or salad to start. Both were delicious, as were all the subsequent offerings that were delivered graciously to our table. Five different kinds of sandwiches, two different flavors of scones, then a light crepe cake, finally a small plate with petit fours, macarons, and chocolate-dipped strawberries. Servers checked on our table frequently, but unobtrusively. The only part of the whole experience that made us feel the tiniest bit less-than-welcomed was the notification that my daughter’s cardigan could not be draped over the back of the chair, it would need to be checked with our coats if she weren’t goi g to wear it. There wasn’t an explanation, just a statement that it was prohibited. I wondered if this was a concern that it might ruin the intended aesthetic of the room… We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Lady Mendl’s, but it is a splurge!

First time at this restaurant. For appts we had the meat balls, which were incredibly tender and the sauce delightful. We also had the calamari… beautifully light and crispy and again super tender pieces. For mains we all had different pastas which were clearly very fresh, perfect el dente. I also had the daily risotto, this day it was a porcini mushroom and truffle risotto…this was the highlight of the night. So flavorful, big pieces of mushroom and a healthy portion. For dessert we had the panna cotta and tiramisu both were fantastic. Don’t waste your time going for Italian in Manhattan and spending an arm and a leg. Make the easy trip to Astoria and visit this little gem just steps away from the Astoria-Ditmars subway.

Had dinner for 8 and they gave us a private room with a big round table. Totally unexpected but very much appreciated. Food and service was fantastic. Our wait staff was friendly and very attentive with such a large group. Fride Chicken, dressed eggs, salads...everything we ordered was awesome. This is my second time at the Ribbon, and it won't be my least. Also, a great bar area for drinks and apps, TV's and plenty of room.

Service is not at all rushed - it was a Friday early evening and restaurant was about 2/3 full. It's always a pleasure to dine there, and staff remembered us even after a couple years absence. I highly recommend.

I went with some friends for a birthday celebration and it was the perfect place to go. The food was delicious, from appetizers through dessert. The service was also very good. I should mention that we sat in the front of the restaurant, at a round table by the window, instead of the main room, so it wouldn't be too noisy. (The noise level there is famously very loud.) We were still able to hear loud voices and pulsing music coming from the main room, so we were very glad we had opted for the front-- even though I would have much preferred to be in the main room. It's a place where people go for celebrations, so it makes sense. I just wish there was one night a week when there was no throbbing music so I could enjoy the main room as well. (Maybe go for an "early bird" reservation?)

Very enjoyable. Went at Happy Hour so prices reasonable. However when time was up, was just handed our bill. A 15 minute warning would have been appreciated. Apart from that though, no real complaints
