Fantastic service and recommendations from servers.
Another great trip to one of our favorite restaurants. We went for the 20 year tasting menu they were doing. We have been several times over the past 10 years. Meal was great. Service (server was Wilson) was the highlight of the night though. Made the meal and evening awesome
Service forgetful of order bc they don’t write things down. But good customer service and attentive to the guests.
We were at Lonesome Dove once again. This time was to celebrate a friend’s birthday who was visiting us from Sun Valley, ID. Both of our friends ordered steaks and my wife and I shared the Wagyu Tomahawk Ribeye. WOW is the only word to describe our experience from the cocktails to the appetizers and our entrees. That Tomahawk Ribeye was perfection on a bone! Our friends had a filet and a NewYork Strip. Our friend said his New York strip was the best steak that he ever had...quite a compliment, I would say. The drinks were fantastic. The sides were equally impressive and the service was on target as always! Needless to say, we will be back...again and again! Thanks to Chef Tim Love and his team for a phenomenal dining experience!
We love going to Lonesome Dove and recommend it to all. The service is always exceptional and the food is even better. It’s a little pricey but we still love going and enjoying.
Food and service were excellent!!
I took my wife to Lonesome Dove for our 9th anniversary after reading some great online reviews. Those reviews were dead on. The food was excellent and the service was top notch. They have a huge wine menu and we had an excellent Merlot recommended by their staff. For our first course we sampled Elk sliders with a blueberry jam and lobster cakes with a black bean salsa. I will dream about those elk sliders for a while. Our second course was a corn, okra, cucumber, and tomato salad with a creamy red wine-mustard vinaigrette dressing. Very nice. Our main course was a roasted garlic beef tenderloin with asparagus and hash. The hash was like crack people! You just couldn’t stop eating it. And the steak was melt in your mouth wonderful. To sum up: book a table now and just hand them your credit card and eat and drink whatever they tell you!
Outstanding, as always. Never been disappointed....dont expect to be. Alejandro, Chris and the rest of the staff...exceptional,very professional.
Excellent dining experience. Menu items are not the same old 'standards'. Great freshly prepared food. Looking forward to going back, soon.
Bar could be stocked with a few more choices.
It's been a while since we have visited the restaurant, but really looking forward to the smoked Manhattans. It didn't disappoint!! It's always been a comfortable place to eat with laid back atmosphere commensurate with fort Worth. Great wait staff, bar tender, and manager. As for food, The lobster cake was a disappointing with minimal lobster flavor amorphous blob. The buffalo slider was fabulous. The Hamachi tostada needed more Hamachi. The cucumber okra salad was forgettable at best. The wagyu tomahawk was the best I've ever had shared amongst my son and wife. It was perfect in every way. After that mind-numbing piece of meat, I don't remember what we ate for dessert. Overall a very good experience, but needed a little more attention to details. It's still one of my favs in Fort Worth.
Went here for a nice anniversary dinner and expected to have a really wonderful time. Our expectations were higher than what they were capable of providing evidentially.
My food came out burn and dry and there were two groups that were served prior to ourselves and we got there first. Two hours into the dinner and finally the main course came out again subpar. The waiter made us feel small for not wanting to spend $1000 on a wine bottle so the service from the waiter wasn’t too great great. He also seemed very clearly stressed out and was running around like a chicken with his head cut off.
We aren’t made of money we wanted to splurge a little and experience something new especially celebrating our anniversary. Maybe they were having a bad night however I’m unsure and I am willing on give the benefit of doubt however I don’t see us ever coming back for second chances.
This was the best service I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Period. Incredible food.
Exceptional food! Best steak in Cowtown. Too bad about the protesters...everyone was on edge.
Let’s just start by saying this place is waaaaaaayyyyyyy over priced. We love and appreciate great meals and will gladly pay$$$$ but this place did not deliver. Maybe because we were there early (6pm) but Service was good and food came quick. We ask for the sommelier and they had one but the waiter said he was a sommelier as well and could provide us with the details(?) really. The wine list is 100% or more mark up and not much less than $100. The appetizer of Elk sliders was best thing we had. My wife enjoyed the Butter lettuce salad but my grilled okra, corn salad was just ok. I didn’t finish it if that tells you anything. Main course we both ordered the garlic stuffed tenderloin. They were cooked perfect and tasted great. The western plaid hash is cabbage, onion, bell pepper combo and string potato mix. Didn’t eat much of it either. We ordered sides of mash potatoes and SAUTÉED spinach. Potatoes were mashed, good but nothing great. The spinach was as if they were blanched and thrown in a bowl. Zero taste. Waiter said he’d take off the bill, didn’t. We didn’t order dessert because everything else was not all that great so why add to the bill for mediocre or worse. Speaking of the bill. $280 for an ok dinner. Not again!
We went for our anniversary, birthday and Father’s Day celebration. The price is a bit high, but it’s quality products, well produced food and staff that is on point! We loved it!!! Thank you Tim Love and Staff, you are appreciated!
The food was amazing!! Went to celebrate our 10th anniversary, but we'll definitely be going back soon to try out other items on their menu. Absolutely fantastic!!
Ordered the Wagyu tomahawk. It was delicious, but the chef left the barcode sticker on the red pepper that topped it. Not a huge deal, but for a $125 steak, any small detail to the presentation that is left out, is pretty major.
Tim Love likes spicy. If you're concerned about excess spiciness on any dish, ask your server.
I could go on and on but simply put one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Exquisite food, professional and personable staff, and wonderful mood/environment made for a truly top tier dining experience.
Four of us ate at Lonesome Dove on 6/13/20. The menu they are currently serving is not the one on the website. They are using a more limited menu so beware: if you go to the website before you dine and have your heart set on something, you may be disappointed. We had 2 apps, salad, 3 entrees, 4 sides, 2 desserts, and coffee. The shrimp appetizer (not on the website menu) was terrible. It consisted of one very small shrimp per person, in a gloppy sauce. The elk sausage sliders were good but needed more blueberry jam. The description of the salad starts with "grilled okra" but the salad had only 6 paper-thin slices of okra on a mound of corn (that I suspect was canned), and the garlic-heavy dressing overpowered the vegetable flavors. I had trout with grilled Napa cabbage (not on the website menu) and I've never had a more disappointing meal. The dish consisted of two strips of fish, less than 4 ounces in total, which were dry and unseasoned. The grilled cabbage was submerged in a broth, with the fish strips perched atop. Any flavor from the grilling was lost in the bland broth. The buffalo ribeye was dry and tough, don't be fooled by the "ribeye" cut. The fillet was good and well-cooked. The truffle mac and cheese was fine. The grilled asparagus were grilled asparagus that you can get anywhere. The mushrooms were dull and the sauteed spinach was very bitter. The ancho chocolate cake with smoked almond brittle was good but the tiny piece of brittle was so small that we couldn't share it. The Mexican churros with 3 sauces were good, but nothing different than other churros you've had. The cappuccino machine was broken. Our server was attentive and with fewer tables it was quiet. I don't mind paying a lot for good food but this expensive meal was less than mediocre on the whole. It was underwhelming and we won't be going back. One bad dish I can overlook, but an entire sub-par meal means there are problems in this kitchen and at this restaurant.
Usually always enjoy Lonesome Dove, was looking forward to the Bison burger which was not in the menu....prime rib was just ok, service was biggest complaint
Happy Anniversary to us!-)
It is a must!!! So glad son wanted to check it out. Will definitely be back.
Under the circumstances of the "new norm," dinner was amazing and the service was terrific. Can't wait to go back!
