Il Casale - BelmontIl Casale - Belmont

Italian | Belmont, Boston Suburbs

The new chef at il Casale is absolutely superb, turning a beloved neighborhood gem into one of our favorite places to dine. The pasta, made in-house, is unbeatable; as a frequent eater of fish, I don't know a restaurant in which it is more fresh. The wine list is excellent, too. The owners import certain wines exclusively, and they are marked as such on the wine list -- these are great choices! It IS noisy, often a challenge for middle aged ears, and that is because this spot is always humming with people. Noise is a small price to pay for such an exceptional restaurant. More

The loading dock was a nice place to have dinner. The live music made it enjoyable and service was excellent. The only thing that I can say negative was that it was cold in the dining room and had there been some heat it would have been perfect. More

Mexican | Belmont, Boston Suburbs

Menu was full of the same meal over and over, just with different wording and slight variations (same salad 4 different ways depending on beef, chicken, fish on top, etc.). Table salsa tasted like watery tomato sauce. Generally unimpressed with the restaurant. More
