My dad’s from Scotland but hadn’t had Scottish food since coming to the US. I brought him here for a birthday lunch and he loved it! The server we had was great, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was really cool. Took some Shepherds Pie to go and he was raving about how good it was for hours. Won’t find Scottish food anywhere else in Mass! More

I like getting the email news updates about the specials that week but I also like some standby favorites like the kale salad. This time I tried the chicken sandwich and loved the spicy sauce on it. More

Indian | Jamaica Plain, Boston

I was looking for a new Indian place and stumbled upon this place - it's a gem! The dining room is very small, it's really just a single medium-sized room, but the service is great and the food is outstanding at a very reasonable price. Not sure if I'd continue to dine in, but definitely will get takeout - again, the value and quality and quantity make it a grand slam! More

Discover Jamaica Plain

Jamaica Plain is a neighborhood of Boston with a lively population and culinary scene. Potato skin pizza is a specialty that cannot be found elsewhere in New England. Chefs peel off the skin of locally grown potatoes and sprinkle it over the pizza. The remainder of the potato is used for chowders, starches, and casseroles. Jamaican Plain scallion pancakes are delectable for lunch or dinner. Cooks broil these scallions to give them a crispy outer layer, and once this process is done, they are stuffed with sauces and proteins. On 4th Street, bistros and medium-sized restaurants serve a wide variety of these foods. The cuisine in Jamaica Plain is constantly evolving to meet new standards.
