Best past I've ever had (I'm 60). Very loud inside. Outside is not the best view either. But, the food is worth it.

Excellent food. Entree serving sizes were fairly disappointing for the price of the dish.

Talented chef and food that really shines. Perfectly seasoned, perfectly cooked there was nothing that was less than very very good. Great spot if you want to get aware from the touristy crowd but stay in south beach.

Everything was exceptional except that it was Friday night and we felt rushed and pressure to hurry through dinner because restaurant is very small and they needed to turn tables! :(

Great staff and consistently good food. A real high quality eating establishment in a sea of Miami/Sobe pretenders.

Great restaurant with good selection of appetizer, pasta and entrees. Good wine and great cocktails. Lovely cosy atmosphere and loved the food.
Beet salad, Burrata salad and the homemade puffy bread warm and delicious. Highly recommend the homemade pasta dishes, which were great but a little salty and pricey but well worth it.

I did not think this restaurant deserved it’s high recommendation on Open Table. I ordered veal Milanese a classic Italian dish that was very over cooked . They offered to replace but my companion was finished so I declined. They did comp that dish. The tiramisu was excellent. The pasta was so do. Very loud and crowded.d

This was hands down one if the best food experiences I've had, definitely the best I've had since I moved to Florida. The food was absolutely incredible! I can eat the creamy polenta for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff was very friendly, but it was busy so it did take a few minutes for them to get to our table. Because of the amount of people in such a small space it was also rather loud. That aside, I would travel to Miami Beach again specifically so that I can have another dinner at Macchialina! Thank you for such an excellent dinner!

If you like Italian cuisine, go here. It is located on a not particularly nice street not really near the beach. Decor is renovated storefront. But, who cares. The food is outstanding (Cavatelli Ragu, Short Rib Lasagna especially). Quite casual, despite the patrons arriving in everything from shorts to couture. Service is knowledgable and friendly. Value is excellent given the food quality.

Really enjoyed this small restaurant. It seems to be more of a local place with a nice welcoming atmosphere. The food was excellent but portions are a little large. We ordered the meet and cheese platter which is very nice and served with outstanding and addictive puffy bread, and really couldn’t finish much of our second course (pasta and absolutely delicious broccolini in a Caesar style dressing with a runny egg). The wine by the glass selection is small and mainly Italian selections that are quite good and not typical. I really loved this place and will definitely be back the next time I’m in the area.

The food was excellent. We started with the ensalada mista, followed by the cavatelli with meatballs. Finished with the tiramisu. Portions we're good. Service was great. The tables are close together, so, depending on who is next to you, it can be loud.

An absolute gem. Authentic owned by folks with Italian heritage. Very welcoming and outstanding service and food. I thought the flights of Amari was an excellent idea that I have not seen before allowed me to try something new. Also excellent wine list with plenty of half bottles available. I am telling everyone I know about this place it’s a must when in South Beach.

Thought it was overpriced, especially later when I realised they had charged me $40 too much for my wine.
Had the specialty of the house the short rib lasagna and neither my wife or I bothered to finish it, perhaps it was a bad night, I hope so!

Great pasta - but on pasta Thursday the service is incredibly slow. The $10 pasta plates are small so you need more than one a person, and have to wait around 45 mins for the plate of pasta. Probably better on a normal night with Normal service.

Loved this restaurant. Can’t believe it took us so long to visit. Our wonderful server, Benjamin, recommended the Tasting Menu. So glad we ordered it since we were able to taste 3 amazing appetizers, 3delicious pastas, a wonderful main and a decadent dessert. Can’t wait to go back to try other items on the menu.

We enjoyed the wonderful food and appreciated the attentive service At Macchialina. The Taverna also felt quite intimate, and unlike a lot of places, it was not too noisy even when it got busy. I had a wonderful Bronzino filet, and my husband had one of the delicious meat pasta dishes. The wine selection was also good. Finally, it was very reasonably priced, particularly for South Beach.

Everything about this place was fantastic! The service was top notch with a friendly and very accommodating staff. The food is really special. They use the best ingredients to produce dishes that are just so flavorful and delicious! They have a nice selection of wine and you can purchase many of them in half bottle portion. On Thursday night they have a variety of homemade pasta dishes priced at only $10. It’s an amazing value! You can’t go wrong!!
