Food is an essential part of all family and social interactions in the Middle East where people grow up with intense flavors, colorful, vibrant foods fresh from the marketplace, prepared simply and with a lot of passion. Aromatic herbs fill the streets and a spirit of warmth and generosity exudes welcome at any table.
Here at Mamnoon, we share these strengths brought with us from Lebanon and Syria to the new world of Seattle – where modern curiosity, compassion, progressive values and tolerance are paving the way for harmonious integration and celebration of cultures and flavors.
What Insiders Are Saying
Mamnoon in Capitol Hill makes the best Mediterranean food in Seattle, and also works for just about any dining situation.
Loud energy level. We had a hard time conversing over the boisterous younger crowd. The foud was over-salted, and no better than the less expensive, more ethnic versions we have had in other cities. This was over-hyped, and under-delivered. Our server was amazing, to be clear.
Went with a small group. Great food. Pleasant ambiance. Good service.
We came to Mamnoon during a girls trip visit to Seattle and we loved it !! Highly recommend it! The food was amazing! The atmosphere was great with lots of fun art as well. Our server, Willow was probably one of the best servers I have had. She was so lovely and genuine. Would def come back!
Amazing food, great service. Will be back for sure!
The first time we went to Mamnoon it immediately became one of the best Lebanese restaurants I have encountered. Fast forward to 9 months later on a return visit to Seattle, it was a must on the list and wow things have gone bad.
First the menu online is not what the menu in restaurant is using. One of their best dishes Kibbeh, is now gone, and they were even out of the meat pies that were on menu.
The server was inept and didn't know the dishes well enough to make a case for any of them. Quality was low on the dishes they did offer.
So very disappointed. I never write reviews but felt compelled this time.
Great food as always. I’ve never had a bad meal here.
We wanted to love it. The appetizers were good. the rest of the menu "different". Portions small. Look at the menu. Spices very middle eastern. Only real minus is that the tables in the back room are tiny and the plates too big to accommodate a multitude if you order lots of different things. The restaurant is broken up into several spaces. Each one different.
Conclusion: wife felt it was ok. Husband really liked it.
What an amazing find. We picked this restaurant based on reviews and were not disappointed. The server (Anthony) was amazing. He took time to go through the menu with us and made fabulous recommendations. The food was outstanding. The servings were plentiful. We can’t wait to return. The only disappointment was how close we were to seating at the bar. We had trouble hearing each other due to loud talking with the people at the bar.
For anyone who is from the Middle East, has visited the Middle East, or has ever had decent Middle Eastern food, Mamnoon is a joke. One can easily cook pretty much anything that's on the menu at home, even better and with more generous portions! The food is incredibly over-priced. What's worse is that the service is so inflexible! They cannot make adjustments to your order, and have arbitrary rules about what part of the menu they will serve in what part of the restaurant that simply do not make sense. The servers and cooks do not ever seem to smile, which suggests an unhappy workplace. We really tried hard to love Mamnoon, since we miss the good food from back home, but it has disappointed us time and again. We will not be returning.
The food was good, but it was just ok for me
Delicious food. Unique flavorings. Everyone who works there clearly loves the place and the food. We love going there for dinner, but recently tried brunch. The egg sandwich is amazing.
Everything was awesome, food was fantastic and staff were very friendly and welcoming. But we ate outside and there were a surprising number of vehicles with sirens going by. But it was pride weekend, and perhaps the extra volume of people around created extra emergencies. Still a great experience though. Will definitely go back!
Excellent restaurant for enjoying Middle Eastern cuisine with flair. Service was very good and the food was delicious.
First time enjoying a meal at Mamnoon. We started with the dip sampler. The baba was wildly delicious. Our cocktails were extra tasty too. We enjoyed our meal immensely!
This is my 4th time coming to Mamnoon and it always amazing with a rotating menu . I highly recommended Mamnoon.
Food was good as always but service was poor. We felt pretty ignored and we waited so long for our cocktails.
Mamnoon has become my favorite restaurant. Every dish is delicious!
Food was fantastic, ambiance was lovely
Food is authentic, service is excellent, food is expensive and it's a bit noisy. I advise making a reservation and asking to be away from the bar so that's a bit quieter.
Food was very delicious! Great service. Warm & welcoming!
Mom, my sis and I enjoyed lunch here while on vacation in Seattle. It is located across from Starbucks Roastry so it is a perfect spot for a meal before some shopping or coffee.
We ordered lots of small plates- hummus, baba ganoish, tabholeh, falafel and a chicken Shwarma platter. Each item was made with fresh ingredients. I felt like it was someone’s grandmother’s recipe for the Smokey flavors of the eggplant. The richness of the hummus was to die for. The tabholeh was made with quinoa so it was gluten free. The dressing on the chicken with the lettuce tomato and such was so good. The lemonade with mint was wonderful and refreshing. Definitely a spot to enjoy. The place has some outdoor seating but it is not covered. The seats / table inside were spacious and could accommodate large parties. The the hanging art of silver chicken was different and something to talk about.
Fantastic food! Attentive servers. Can't recommend this place enough.
Menu changes for the worse every time we visit, and this visit was no different. I would have recommended Mamnoon to anyone a year ago. I would no longer recommend this unfortunately mis-managed restaurant.
Mamnoon is one of our favorite restaurants to bring our out of town guests. The Syrian and other Middle Eastern food is authentic, tasty, and versatile enough for vegan and non vegan guests. The atmosphere is edgy and the service is good. Be aware that the noise level is high and the chairs are without padding of any kind. The place is moderately expensive. We just recently dined at Mamnoon and had everything family style. The small plates (Baba Ghanoush, Armabeit Makli, and Muhammara) were brilliant and delicious. The rice (Polow) with egg was wonderful. Unfortunately, the Mamnoon Taouk (chicken) had no flavor at all; none. And the specialty dish, lamb tatare, which we have had before and have known to be good, was also devoid of flavor. So starters and sides were as good as usual, and the mains were disappointing.
Not sure what happened but it was definitely a subpar experience . We ordered chicken and it was over cooked and super dry . The service was as usual uneven and inattentive. Oh well ...
Not great value for dollar. Good food, but nothing impressive!
Fabulous find - will definitely be back. Really excellent food and attentive wait staff.
Very slow service and were out of two dishes that we wanted. At the end our server billed us for the next tables desert and coffees....$50+ more than our bill. When we asked to fix it, she came back to the table with it wrong again. We asked to get it corrected again and the manager came over and argued with us. We calmly explained there was still the Turkish coffees on the bill and she reluctantly left. After another 10 minute wait she came back to settle up. Very frustrating
Food was really salty. Woke up in the middle of the night parched. Saffron ice cream also was bad. I can tell actual saffron was not used. I used to love this place but quality has gone down. Also extremely loud. Difficult to have conversation
It was hit or miss with ordering. Some dishes were divine and others lacking flavor.
Food was great. Service was poor. Table in the far back corner lacked ambiance but could have overlooked if for not the rude service.
Both the returning fans and first-time diners in our party were delighted by the experience. Absolutely delicious food, cocktails and reasonably priced wine served in a funky yet modern setting. Will be making this a regular spot. Great date night venue or place to wine and dine with friends.
This place is really hit and miss. The service was adequate but cold and not friendly at all. My husband was a bit put off by the dead chicken artwork, too. Everything we ordered was excellent and flavorful so that was good. I think my only complaint about the food is that the dip sampler should come with additional pita or some pita crackers.
Good food that was unfortunately ruined by incredibly slow and inattentive service. We waited 10 minutes looking for our server to collect the check before struggling to flag down another server.
It was marginally better than our last visit a few years back where they couldn’t even get the order right.
Excellent meal!! The lamb was so delicious!
One of THE best meals we’ve had hands down. The lamb burger was out of this world.
Wonderful food and atmosphere. Service is great, I made a reservation mistake and they made it work.
I would recommend their brunch and take out window, but the noise level was too loud for our group. It made the evening a bit frustrating and tiring.
Food was really tasty. The service was not impressive. Overall positive
service was unusually slow, restaurant was crazy noisy, food was good as usual. since it was the 2nd time i had dinner there in one week, and the previous time was on a weekend night, the fact that the service was bizarrely slow and the noise so BIG on a Tuesday night was really odd.
