Food is an essential part of all family and social interactions in the Middle East where people grow up with intense flavors, colorful, vibrant foods fresh from the marketplace, prepared simply and with a lot of passion. Aromatic herbs fill the streets and a spirit of warmth and generosity exudes welcome at any table.
Here at Mamnoon, we share these strengths brought with us from Lebanon and Syria to the new world of Seattle – where modern curiosity, compassion, progressive values and tolerance are paving the way for harmonious integration and celebration of cultures and flavors.
What Insiders Are Saying
Mamnoon in Capitol Hill makes the best Mediterranean food in Seattle, and also works for just about any dining situation.
That was the second time I had dinner at Mamnoon. Both experiences were absolutely commandable. The food was exquisite , prepared with care, presented with elegance. We also enjoyed the wine, aptly recommended by our excellent waitress.
Brilliant! I’ve organized several dinners of 12 or more persons and Mamnoon ALWAYS delivers!!!! Everything was spectacular. Several folks at the table hadn’t been yet and they absolutely loved it! Merci Mamnoon.
Food great but very noisy due to table of 10 party right next to us.
I loved the food and drinks. I want to come back and try all of the foods and deserts I didn't try the first time! It's quite loud and busy so not ideal for a quiet romantic date.
Everything was good-but it’s on the pricey side
The service was quite slow. Why not different menu for fast food ?
Food arrived cold. Chicken on shvarma seems to be a leftover from previous day or so.. too dry.
There are plenty of food and drink options--especially those likely to not be offered at other local restaurants/bars.
Had a great dinner at Mamnoon Sunday night with friends. Our waiter recomended ordering 2 entrees and 5 meze’s for our party of 4. We ordered 3 meze’s and 2 entrees and were full by the time we got our entrees. The cauliflower, beets and eggplant with meat were outstanding. Entree’s were a bit salty for our tastes but on the whole, an excellent dinner!!!
delicious! the fish stew was incredible and Aaron paired it with a fun and interesting wine. Everything was delightful, as usual!
Fabulous place to dine. The food is delish! It is our go to restaurant!
Bens birthday dinner was extra special
We used to love Mamoon. But our Friday dinner was ‘meh’ and forgettable. We were on the wait list via open table for 7:30p first on list...didn’t get seated till 8:15p. The service and kitchen was too backed up. The pita bread was raw...we send it back to get fresh crisp ones. Our waiter got same ones back but dried up. Hummus was excellent.
We ordered immediately but the entrees took ages to get it. We checked twice but finally arrived and was cold! No sorry or apologies
Definitely not going back till they improve. Need to find the next Mediterranean restaurant. :(
For date night. What we got: the "shamandar"-- 6/5 stars! Our entrees were mamnoon taouk and kibbet yaqteen-- both delicious. My spouse tried a tasty Lebanese wine, and because I'm pregnant I ordered a mocktail. We can recommend all. Finally, we rounded off dinner with the dessert recommendation from our server-- it was the halawet jibneh. Wow, wow, wow-- put this in your mouth at your earliest opportunity.
Always delicious and fun for friends or work! Get their sampler platter and go for a ton of small plates if you have a sharing crowd!
Unbelievable! Easily one of the top 2 or 3 meals of my life!
I had read that an Anthony Bourdain-parts unknown was filmed here within the last year or so. We were looking for a restaurant to attend while visiting Seattle and was intrigued by the food that Anthony and his guests were eating. The appetizers were tasty and well proportioned. The main dish was smaller than expected and felt it was costly for its size. Overall we enjoyed our meal and Mamnoon experience.
Our waiter, Hans was excellent!! He was so helpful with menu suggestions and has a great personality!
The wine buyer found the perfect wine to pair with both chicken and the lamb and beef. Delightful atmosphere and perfect for the birthday dinner.
Absolutely wonderful. Drinks and food were delicious!!
Food was delicious. We had expected according to the website to be able to have lunch on Saturday after 11 am. It turns out that brunch only is offered on the weekends but the menu was varied enough to find a lunch option. Food was very well prepared, fresh flavorful and filling. Great place. We'll return for sure.
Wow! I love Middle Eastern food and this one takes the cake. Of all the delicious items, my partner found the simple mezze platter the best - the hummus, labneh, babaganouj and pomegranate molasses dips were fantastic. So much so that we returned the second night of our trip just to have the mezze platter and a drink. We loved the Cardamint drink - the cardamom was a lovely touch. I love the decor, particularly the arabic calligraphy and the Lebanese music. This the closest I will get to Beirut before I actually fly over there. Thank you!
I have been wanting to try Mamnoon for years, and finally had a chance. It was worth the wait. The food was superb, as was the service. The four of us deferred to the server for suggestions of what to order, and we ate family style so we could try many dishes. All were superb. Beautiful to look at and extremely satisfying to eat. If I lived closer, I would eat there every week. It's just that good.
Wonderful options for all diners. We shared a larger platter of food and it was delicious. The drinks are also very tasty. I highly recommend.
Good food, too expensive. I have to fill 50 characters!
Outstanding food, knowledgeable and friendly service, lovely ambiance, and a fair price for this lovely restaurant. I will be back!
My family is Lebanese so I seek out Middle Eastern food as often as possible. Everything was fresh and delicious. The Fattoush Salad was our favorite. The flavors were bright, tart and full of fresh herbs. We had the mezze sampler and the Kafte as well. All super good. For dessert, I had the cheese rolls with the rose blossoms and orange flower syrup and let me tell you, it was delicious. The service was prompt and attentive and the place was slamming busy.
The decor inside was lovely and the vibe was unique and interesting. I wouldn't recommend this place to a friend because the waiter sold us on a pretty pricey special that turned out to be not good at all. He said it was a prime rib that was big enough for 2 people which sounded great. It was $60. When we got it, it turned out to be maybe 6 slices of what looked like the steak that goes on top of a salad. It was tough to chew and also flavorless. I think that maybe if we had gotten something else it would have been a better experience. I'm still kind of shocked that they charged us $60 for 6 pieces of overcooked steak. Overall, not a good experience. If you go, maybe don't get the special.
We did get pita bread and a dip that was unique and delicous.
Had a great time here. The food and ambience are absolutely amazing. The service also reminds you of the traditional hospitality of the Middle East, would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Seattle.
Great place, awesome food and good location. I had heard a lot about this place and finally decided to make a visit. Good number of vegetarian options(me and my wife are vegetarian). All the things we ordered were great. Specially the dolmeh. I would suggest more service staff for a faster service on weekend nights. Would definitely like to go again.
The food was very delicious and the cocktails were outstanding but we were seated at a very awkward table/corner where maybe we were out of site out of mind? Because the service was very lacking, I think we were sitting 20 minutes or so before someone even said hello and brought water and it continued like that, way too long without the server checking in, bringing drinks and flatbread etc. next time I’ll peobably opt for their window service.
Food was really delicious but service was extremely terrible. We only ordered three dishes and were there for 90 minutes. The place was extremely busy and the service but a huge damper on the ambiance, which was lacking to begin with. Not sure if we’ll return.
It was an off night entrees were cold and service was below par.
We had the sample appetizer plate with assorted spreads, the special steak dish for the evening, and the yogurt-marinated chicken with mushrooms. Everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The steak was marinated in garlic & balsamic and was tender- each bite full of flavor. The potatoes served with the chicken were crisp on the outside and delicate inside- perfect. The service is well-paced for enjoying a leisurely evening out- not slow, but they are also not rushing you through your meal.
We had an early reservation and when we were seated the host paused at one two-top, passed another, and proceeded to seat us at literally the worst table in the restaurant. The noise from the kitchen and the service area was formidable, but we read lips well, and when that failed we could text. Did we complain? No. Why? Two reasons: A) someone had to sit there and B) first world problems. Then why mention it? I’ll get to it. Service was prompt and professional, and the food truly outstanding. The fish stew was excellent, infused with surprising and satisfying flavors. We commented on how fortunate we felt to have restaurants this good in our city. Bottom line is that even the worst table at Mamnoon gets you great food. Highly recommended, no matter where you’re sitting.
The portions are very small and super expensive!
Loved the vegetarian food
I hadn't been back to Mamnoon for some time and had high hopes for an enjoyable meal with my oldest. However, despite being told that we needed to finish up within an hour (which was fine as we were running late), we didn't finish until 90 minutes later. This was not due to lingering over appetizers and dessert. As far as I could tell, they forgot to put in our order or the order was misplaced. The end result was the same, it took about 45 min for our food to arrive. I would say that no harm was done as I got to spend more time catching up with my daughter, but we were both hungry and I had a ticket waiting for me on my car because my parking had expired.
Was really excited based on the reviews and articles but the food was mediocre. Nothing better than my local hole in the wall. Some of the chicken was under cooked and my sausage was a little dry. The concept is great but each ingredient seemed to be kinda of independent and not really working and blending together. I was really surprised. left feeling like it was a real waste of money. I was I could say otherwise...
