Food is an essential part of all family and social interactions in the Middle East where people grow up with intense flavors, colorful, vibrant foods fresh from the marketplace, prepared simply and with a lot of passion. Aromatic herbs fill the streets and a spirit of warmth and generosity exudes welcome at any table.
Here at Mamnoon, we share these strengths brought with us from Lebanon and Syria to the new world of Seattle – where modern curiosity, compassion, progressive values and tolerance are paving the way for harmonious integration and celebration of cultures and flavors.
What Insiders Are Saying
Mamnoon in Capitol Hill makes the best Mediterranean food in Seattle, and also works for just about any dining situation.
Food is authentic, service is excellent, food is expensive and it's a bit noisy. I advise making a reservation and asking to be away from the bar so that's a bit quieter.
Food was very delicious! Great service. Warm & welcoming!
Mom, my sis and I enjoyed lunch here while on vacation in Seattle. It is located across from Starbucks Roastry so it is a perfect spot for a meal before some shopping or coffee.
We ordered lots of small plates- hummus, baba ganoish, tabholeh, falafel and a chicken Shwarma platter. Each item was made with fresh ingredients. I felt like it was someone’s grandmother’s recipe for the Smokey flavors of the eggplant. The richness of the hummus was to die for. The tabholeh was made with quinoa so it was gluten free. The dressing on the chicken with the lettuce tomato and such was so good. The lemonade with mint was wonderful and refreshing. Definitely a spot to enjoy. The place has some outdoor seating but it is not covered. The seats / table inside were spacious and could accommodate large parties. The the hanging art of silver chicken was different and something to talk about.
Fantastic food! Attentive servers. Can't recommend this place enough.
Menu changes for the worse every time we visit, and this visit was no different. I would have recommended Mamnoon to anyone a year ago. I would no longer recommend this unfortunately mis-managed restaurant.
Mamnoon is one of our favorite restaurants to bring our out of town guests. The Syrian and other Middle Eastern food is authentic, tasty, and versatile enough for vegan and non vegan guests. The atmosphere is edgy and the service is good. Be aware that the noise level is high and the chairs are without padding of any kind. The place is moderately expensive. We just recently dined at Mamnoon and had everything family style. The small plates (Baba Ghanoush, Armabeit Makli, and Muhammara) were brilliant and delicious. The rice (Polow) with egg was wonderful. Unfortunately, the Mamnoon Taouk (chicken) had no flavor at all; none. And the specialty dish, lamb tatare, which we have had before and have known to be good, was also devoid of flavor. So starters and sides were as good as usual, and the mains were disappointing.
Not sure what happened but it was definitely a subpar experience . We ordered chicken and it was over cooked and super dry . The service was as usual uneven and inattentive. Oh well ...
Not great value for dollar. Good food, but nothing impressive!
Fabulous find - will definitely be back. Really excellent food and attentive wait staff.
Very slow service and were out of two dishes that we wanted. At the end our server billed us for the next tables desert and coffees....$50+ more than our bill. When we asked to fix it, she came back to the table with it wrong again. We asked to get it corrected again and the manager came over and argued with us. We calmly explained there was still the Turkish coffees on the bill and she reluctantly left. After another 10 minute wait she came back to settle up. Very frustrating
Food was really salty. Woke up in the middle of the night parched. Saffron ice cream also was bad. I can tell actual saffron was not used. I used to love this place but quality has gone down. Also extremely loud. Difficult to have conversation
It was hit or miss with ordering. Some dishes were divine and others lacking flavor.
Food was great. Service was poor. Table in the far back corner lacked ambiance but could have overlooked if for not the rude service.
Both the returning fans and first-time diners in our party were delighted by the experience. Absolutely delicious food, cocktails and reasonably priced wine served in a funky yet modern setting. Will be making this a regular spot. Great date night venue or place to wine and dine with friends.
This place is really hit and miss. The service was adequate but cold and not friendly at all. My husband was a bit put off by the dead chicken artwork, too. Everything we ordered was excellent and flavorful so that was good. I think my only complaint about the food is that the dip sampler should come with additional pita or some pita crackers.
Good food that was unfortunately ruined by incredibly slow and inattentive service. We waited 10 minutes looking for our server to collect the check before struggling to flag down another server.
It was marginally better than our last visit a few years back where they couldn’t even get the order right.
Excellent meal!! The lamb was so delicious!
One of THE best meals we’ve had hands down. The lamb burger was out of this world.
Wonderful food and atmosphere. Service is great, I made a reservation mistake and they made it work.
I would recommend their brunch and take out window, but the noise level was too loud for our group. It made the evening a bit frustrating and tiring.
Food was really tasty. The service was not impressive. Overall positive
service was unusually slow, restaurant was crazy noisy, food was good as usual. since it was the 2nd time i had dinner there in one week, and the previous time was on a weekend night, the fact that the service was bizarrely slow and the noise so BIG on a Tuesday night was really odd.
This was my first time back in about 4 or 5 years, and everything was just as good as I had remembered. The food was outstanding, service was great (it got a little slow while we were getting ready to leave, but they were heading into their dinner rush, so it’s understandable) and the atmosphere was lovely. I won’t let another 4 or 5 years pass before returning again and will continue to recommend this spot to friends.
Great restaurant. Hummus to die for. Everything was flavorful and well presented. Good service. The only minus, we chose the wrong bottle of wine. Give them a try. We left impressed.
The food is great and so is the service. It’s a wee bit pricey.....but what nice restaurant in Seattle is not?
Great service and delicious, unique meals!
I am really impressed that they remembered a candle for my boyfriend’s surprise birthday dessert, even when I reserved a table months in advance! The chef was also super accommodating towards my vegan diet. And our waitress was very sweet and passionate about the food. Definitely recommend.
Flavors to knock your socks off. Cocktails were spectacular. Knowledgeable service.
Wonderful dinner with relatives visiting from the Bay Area. Meal and service were excellent.
Love this place! I always bring visiting friends here, everyone is happy with the food, space and service!
We had a great dinner. Our Server, Amanda A was awesome. She suggested the chefs tasting menu, and it was a great way to try all the wonderful creation
Outstanding brunch place; delicious food and great value
Great place and good as always
Great food, very nice place, music too loud
The food is outstanding. We have been coming here for years. One of our top Seattle favorites.
One of the best restaurants we've been to in Seattle.
One of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. The food is amazing!
What a lovely experience - the food was scrumptious (if a little salty), the drinks were clever and delicious, and Willow, our server, made the evening even more fun.
The hostess who greeted us was very arrogant and snug. After being seated, we ordered and the waitress was friendly and attentive. However, the food was super greasy, everything was deep fried and highly overpriced. I might as well could have gone to a cheap fast food place!! We paid $160 for a shared starter, two main meals (one of it was vegetarian) and the cheapest bottle of wine we could find, which was $48!!!)
I felt bloated and uncomfortable all evening afterwards. Will definitely not come back.
We had a fairly early reservation so the restaurant was not at all full, yet we were sat right next to another couple, which felt very awkward considering how empty the restaurant was. Not sure why they did that, but it wasn't very pleasant.
I love this restaurant and have been her a few times. However time our service was not as good. Our waiter was very awkward with the table and hardly came by the table. This is a great restaurant with excellent food and normally great service, with the exception of this one waiter.
