Honestly, we consider ourselves local and back in the day this restaurant was fab; not tonight. Sour eggplant in the Ophelia, cold bisque, lack of utensils with each course, understaffed for a busy Valentine's eve and overall just disappointing. Did I mention the waitstaff is geriatric and it is straining to communicate? 2nd time there in the last 5 months and we are done! Too many neighboring establishments that try harder and are far worthier.

The food overall was good- a little on the pricy side. We had the oysters, filet Oscar, and 3 lb lobster with wedge salad and creamed spinach. The desserts, molten cake and bread pudding, were unfortunately dry and not at the same level as we had hoped. The tables for two are small and rather close together- they are definitely using every inch of the place for tables. Next time I will request one in the middle of the dining room as they seemed to have a little more space between them. The staff was friendly. Overall a nice dinner- will try some of the more unique dishes if I go again.
Amazing food and service! Definitely a treat! I would recommend to family and friends who want to go somewhere special for dinner.

This is a very nice restaurant. Service is great and they make amazing steaks. This building used to be a church so it couldn't be more beautiful. I highly recommend it
We have been to this restaurant before and have never been disappointed. The cuisine is first rate, especially the steaks and chops and raw bar and New Orleans specialities. The battered fried onion rings are the best I have ever eaten anywhere; each onion ring has the approx. circumference of a baseball. Do not know where they get such onions. Service was courteous, prompt, efficient. When wine was requested it appeared quickly. Refills were equally prompt. Dessert was served with a flourish. The overall atmosphere is slightly tongue-in-cheek, maybe a bit campy, anyway always fun. The fact that it is situated in a former church makes it interesting as a setting, and they have done the interior very well. The huge mural at the front of the restaurant, where an altar once stood, is, well, amusing.
This restaurant provided an excellent overall experience. The food was fantastic and authentically Louisiana Cajun/Creole, the portions huge, the waiter was friendly and helpful, and the ambiance of the old church it is in was great. We went as a birthday celebration and were given a free (huge) dessert as well as a photo to commemorate the occasion. I would definitely return for special occasions or with out-of-town guests.
Had an enjoyable meal and Doug and Jasmine were attentive. The noise level was a bit loud as they had a large party upstairs. Once they left you can have a conversation.
Service very slow, no water refills, main dishes too way too long to arrive, probably under a heat lamp for a long time. Taste was just fair probably because of the long delay. Dishes not cleared in a timely fashion. Then told at the end if we want a quieter night to come on a Sunday. But, wait, we weren’t there on a Sunday, why are you making an excuse. Hard to recommend
We were married here and are always treated so nicely when we come to eat. Food and wine is always outstanding. We truly appreciate the hospitality of the staff here. They really go out of their way to make sure your experience is enjoyable. We love it here and we’ll of course be back!
Unfortunately there was a very large party on the upper level and boy they were loud! Would have been a nicer night out if not so loud! Food was excellent.... would give a recommendation on that.
We love this place ! The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable and if you need anything special all of you have to do is ask! Food is ALWAYS amazing. We've never been to a restaurant that is this consistent with all of their food items. Spoil yourselves and go!

Extremely nice. The only issue was with the lamp chop lolipops that were too salty. The rest of the meal was excellent. The service was spot on and the prices were perfect. The atmosphere was out of the ordinary, however, upon observation it felt more like a banquet room with the entire open floor concept.
I've dined here several times and each time it is great. I have the scallops and they are cooked perfectly. Service is always very attentive. I highly recommend it!
This place is magical . The service is like you are in Antoine’s Restaurantin Nola. I’d recommend it to anyone.
My wife & I have favorite menu items (Ophelia,Bisque,Gumbo) and try to come to MB a couple of times a year. Service is always exceptional, wine prices fair, food very good and the funky ambiance & good music comfy. Always pleasantly surprised by our check.

My partner is a New Orleans transplant, she said the quality of authentic taste was spot on. Beautiful interior and fantastic service, all on top of great selections and perfectly prepared. Jack our waiter was awesome, ask for him. I wish I lived closer!

Beautiful restaurant in an old Methodist church. Loved the decor, the friendly atmosphere, the history and the owner's story, which the waiter told us as soon as we sat down. We had the lamb lollipops to start off with and they were well-seasoned, perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. However, we were a bit less impressed with the mains. My husband had the "Manhattan" steak (a sirloin cut) and asked for it at a medium temperature, but it came out more like well-done. Based on recommendation from the waiter, I had the Eggplant Ophelia, a unique Creole dish that was the owner's mother's recipe (can't get it anywhere else, he said). It was a baked casserole dish with shrimp, crabmeat and eggplant, and it was just too salty. I might give it another chance if ever we're in New Hope again, but according to some locals we met at drinks afterwards, there are better places to go in town.
We ate dinner in the bar and had a delicious crab meat ravioli. The service was great, drinks were good and the bar atmosphere was fun and lively.
The atmosphere is this 3 story former church is amazing. First time eating here and upon entering the
bar area is very old school and classic. We were quickly seated and brought up to the third story with a table overlooking the 2nd floor dining room. The tuna sashimi and crab cake appetizers were both amazing. Jambalaya and the center cut NY steak was equally as good. Finishing with the delicious bread pudding finished off a wonderful meal. Can't wait to come back. Recommend trying in more mild weather since the town of New Hope is such a quaint town to walk around before or after dinner. Restaurant great anytime but hard to walk around to the shops when it's freezing out.
Enjoy everything food , services , and the fact they have valet parking was a big plus you don’t have to walk blocks to eat. We will be going back for Valentine’s Day. Prices are a little high. But for the quality of food. And atmosphere is worth it.

My wife and I enjoyed our anniversary at Marsha Brown's. Jack our server was a complete professional. Attentive without being overbearing, Great conversation and recommendations. The bacon slab app is a must. My wife raved over chelmette scallops (I didn't get a taste). I had an Oscar style Filet. Filet was done just how I like it; a little more than rare. Jack suggested rare on a 500 degree plate (perfect). It did not come with the bearnaise; it was there quickly after I pointed it out. However, the crabmeat was described as colossal lump. Since I eat dozens of crabs each summer I knew it was not. It was special ( a much lower quality). While disappointing, It did not spoil our time. I still highly recommend.

Absolutely perfect. Food was excellent. All of the staff were very accommodating and professional which speaks to excellent management and training. All in all, a perfect dining experience. Can’t wait to do it again.
