The first Oven Restaurant, located in the heart of downtown Lincoln, has been around since 1988 and owned/operated by a dedicated family of chefs who have been creating Indian cuisine for over twenty seven years. The Oven Restaurants specialize in Northern Indian Cuisine which is known for its rich colors, flavor profiles and a unique style of cooking in a clay oven, called the Tandoor. Chicken, shrimp and lamb marinate for several hours in a yogurt and spice mixture and placed on skewers while various breads are being hand made by our chefs fresh each day. The skewers and breads are then placed in the tandoor over an open flame where breads are cooked to perfection and the rich flavors are sealed in to ensure tenderness and quality of the meat. Whether you enjoy the historic Haymarket atmosphere to the relaxed vibe of the Cellar, we have what you want!

    The service at Salted Edge was very good!! Our waitress checked in with us several times throughout the night and was always polite. The food came within a decent time and it was tasty. I was a bit disappointed by the bolognese ---it came with long flat noodles that were a bit tough to cut and it didn't taste much different from regular spaghetti with hamburger. One of our friends had the scallops and said they were better than what he had in Vegas at Ramsey's restaurant. I would tell everyone to try the bread platter appetizer, which was visually appealing and very good!

    The event was fun and entertaining. The food was downright amazing. I love new things and twists on old things and they hit it outta the park on both areas. Also, at small plate tasting you often leave hungry. Not at all here. The pairings with the whisky was fantastic as well! We went for the whisky, which was all very good but the food stole the show!! Thank you.
