   Service was very special..attentive and detailed. They didn't just slap things down. Atmosphere excellent and interesting design. And OMG the coffee is so good! The rosated vegetables were divine...but the breaded chicken and vodka pasta were ordinary. A little work on themenu to get itto roasted veg quality would make it totally amazing!

   Tasty and Trendy - brought our elderly mother for Mothers' Day brunch and it was a delightful experience. As native Oaklanders, we love the local artwork and vibe. Our server PreJean was pleasant and patient (mom took awhile to order). Service was great across the crew: hostess, busboy, bartended and waiter. The food was great; moms had Baked French Toast and I enjoyed the poached eggs on potatoes with asparagus.

   We were attending a show at the Fox and looking for a restaurant nearby. Mockingbird had a table available and we are so glad we gave them a try. The food, the cocktails, and the service were all so good. We can’t wait to go there again, and we’ll be bringing friends next time!

    Booked a reservation for a company dinner. The reservation had be adjusted multiple times, and the staff was extremely accommodating and professional, never sounding put off or irritated. Received multiple bits of feedback about the delicious food. Thanks, Mockingbird!

    Staff is very attentive, and accommodating. Food tastes great. We had fried brussels sprouts, cacio e pepe and pasta carbonara. Everything tasted really authentic. Asked the bartender for white Negroni and vesper Martini and they were perfection even though not even on the menu. Good times.

    We got the Burrata to start and then the meatballs, carbonara and the lasagna and literally every single thing was amazing! The meatballs were some of the best I’ve ever had and the carbonara was straight up addictive. The cheese crust on the lasagna was so crunchy and delish and the portion size was perfect. 10/10 will be back soon.

    Ordered food and it took about 30mins to get lasagna. Server was well aware and provided complementary brussel sprouts. Lasagna was bit burnt on top layer but overall food and service was good. Tables are close to each other so person on next table seemed to be speaking directly in my ears.

    I took visiting clients to Mockingbird along with two execs from my company for dinner. The food is exceptional. Rebecca's recipes take certain dishes and put enough of a twist on them that they are magnificent. I had the Carbonara pasta and the sauce and meat in it was perfect. There's a bit of a zesty spice in it that makes it SO enjoyable. I strongly recommend getting the garlic bread and Brussels sprouts they are phenomenal. The burrata was also perfect in consistency and lightly spiced. The servers were attentive without being overbearing. The setting is lovely and lively which is a good combo for business dinners and a personal celebration upstairs. My guests had the flank steak and also loved it. I strongly recommend Mockingbird!

    Amazing. The ambiance is warm and inviting. Great art on the walls. Mocking bird just feels so comfortable. The appetizers were a great start. I am so glad they still have their amazing Brussels sprouts. We ordered all the pastas and shared them. Each one was delicious. We also had the branzino smothered with salsa verde. Amazing. The service was spot on. We never felt as though we had to wait for anything. Hope to go back soon

    We had a late lunch here on a Saturday. The menu was more breakfasty-brunch items than lunch-brunch items. We shared a chopped salad, a meatball sandwich, and had some rose wine. The staff was super friendly and wonderful, and the food was delicious. The chopped salad had some delicious spice (possibly cumin) on it that really brought out amazing flavors. We were happy to find this place and would be back again - the staff really made our lunch delightful!

    Brunch was delicious. Make sure to order the binets! Service was very friendly. Atmosphere was tastefully trendy. (Watch the parking though. I didn't notice I was in a metered area and got a parking ticket.). I'll definitely recommend this restaurant and visit again.

    Annual visit during Oakland Running Festival. We’re never disappointed here. Started with very well-crafted cocktails. Server, Fatiah, was charming, knowledgeable, and made us feel truly welcomed…never rushed us. Started with the ever-so-fabulous Brussel sprouts. To die for. I had grilled Branzino and my partner had hangar steak, and both were delicious. Cooked perfectly. Will always return.

    Last night I had the perfect meal before our show at the Fox theatre. We had the scallop crudo, burrata and peas with nettle pesto, Caesar salad (best one I’ve ever had) and risotto verde. Wine list is short and sweet! Delish, our server was a sweetheart and we had a ball. Will come back again!

    This is a cute place across from the Tribune building. I was taking my 16-year old daughter to her first real concert and wanted to make it a special night. I've taken one star off because we were the second party in the door at 5:30, with a reservation and were seated at the closest 2-person table to the door/hostess desk, where it was louder and busier than anywhere else in the restaurant. Why give the first people to get there the worst seating? And, it wasn't as though the place was going to entirely fill up by 6:30. It didn't make sense, and when I asked the servers about possibly changing tables they kind of blew me off, basically saying to talk to the hostess. They should have approached her for us, in that case. So, I gave up, because it was hard for them to hear me and they all seemed a little stand-off-ish. The menu is promising. We enjoyed the fried mushroom app. Though, there was a lot of breading, which kind of diluted the flavor of the mushrooms. The pasta dishes were just okay, to be honest. The carbonara was sort of pasty/grainy in texture. The penne a la vodka was really very basic, but not in a good rustic sort of way. Not for that price. My daughter didn't complain, of course. But, all in all, I was a little let down and will look for another spot the next time I'm in town.

    It was one of the most horribly overpriced meal I’ve ever had!! $45 for two eggs (Benedict) & coffee!! though the restaurant was virtually empty, we were sited behind the hostess stand, next to the door, as if unwanted?!!! WHY??? Was busy catching up with a friend but left feeling “taken”!! Worst experience using OpenTable!!

    Menu was promising. Food took a long time to arrive, and all of the two egg dishes only had one egg. Ambience is solid and staff were engaging when we got to talk with them. They seemed busier than they expected, so issues were mostly about that.

    It’s Very chic restaurant and busy after work people- My friend & I thought foods are very good and Service was pretty good too. The restroom door had a problem to lock. Definitely needs to fix that !!!!
