We needed a special occasion restaurant--for lunch on a Monday. If you know anything about the restaurant industry, you know that lots of places have been closed on Mondays since who knows when. Post pandemic, a lot fewer places are open for lunch, period. So, combining lunch and a Monday, our options were limited. How glad I am that we found Chama Gaucha!!! This was an amazing experience for the senses. We gorged ourselves on all manners of meat--beef and otherwise (shrimp, sausage, pork, chicken, lamb)... Everything was executed so beautifully. I am normally a ribeye person (I can't resist that amazing marbled flavor), but the NY strip and bottom sirloin really surprised me with their flavor and texture. The service was very attentive and prompt. I love that they still use white tablecloths and napkins. Just one small point of improvement: I mentioned in my reservation notes that we were celebrating my husband's 40th birthday and there was no acknowledgement of this occasion or any offer to help enhance our celebration or options to do anything special. This was disappointing, for sure, so I'd say this is great place to go to eat in general but maybe not so great for marking a special occasion.

We were greeted promptly and taken to our table. We started with Martinis that were pure heaven. Our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable without “hovering.” Our appetizers and entrees were cooked to perfection! We didn’t have any dessert because we had no more room. Our server ,James, did an excellent job taking care of us. There was a major accident on I10 so the group trickled on as they got through the blockage rather than arriving at once. The waitstaff kept us all in drinks and appetizers until everyone arrived and we could order dinner. The presentations of each dish was beautiful. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We will be back again. We were welcomed by the nicest waitress who took care of us. The waiter who brought our food to us from the kitchen (appetizers and entrees) was delightful! The sommelier was knowledgeable. The only thing irritating was the guests at the bar screaming and using very foul language…that was a turn off in such an otherwise nice restaurant. Perhaps someone in leadership could have asked them to tone it down a bit so not to offend or interrupt other diners?????
