The best restaurant that I have experienced in San Francisco so far! The oysters were delicious, the duck main course was stunning in both presentation and taste, and the dessert made my taste buds dance with the strong contrast between the scummy lemon meringue and bitter melon (my mouth has never been more confused but always wanted more). Service was impeccable and the ambiance was very relaxed. Highly recommended!
Good choices for pesceterians. Salmon was best I ve ever had. Branzino mediocre
Nice restaurant. The food and service were amazing.
We went for birthday. They cut and bring the cake that we brought.
A beautiful restaurant. We ordered the lamb shoulder and chicken family style that included creative side dishes. The food was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Ruth, the wine som, provided great suggestions and was very attentive. Overall excellent service and my new favorite restaurant and dining experience. I am looking forward to another visit.
We had the most delicious dinner. The short ribs were so tender and flavorful. The chicken so moist and flavorful. The wines were also perfect with our food.
Amazing food, amazing vibe. food was absolutely delicious. couldn’t believe it
The food was amazing, service was amazing, and we got a tour of the kitchen!!
Delicious oysters, paired with champagne followed by a sort of duck confit burrito (made with phyllo, and accompanied by a nice Burgundy. For the pièce de resistance, I had a plate of lamb filets and lamb « bacon » topped with roasted lentils. The latter was utterly delicious but the lamb filets were too subtle for me—not seared in the least.
Finally I had a small chocolate cake(flourless ?) topped with a praline and accompanied by a salted caramel ice cream. I had a nice tawny port-very delicious.
I prefer a slightly less noisy atmosphere, but the service was excellent !
The food was great but the service was exceptional!
Presentation was exquisite. Actual taste of the food was disappointing. Service was excellent.
The food was very delicious, the ambiance was so lovely, and for the quality and flavors it is at a great price point. I am recommending this restaurant to my friends for sure!
Breeze to check in when we arrived.
Wished the bar had more seats available for pre-dinner drinks, but managed.
Dinner was great. Just have to remember that dishes are meant for groups of 2 to 4, so no need to over-order
Don’t skip the short ribs
Oh, yes, the bread is so delicious, but surprising they are $3 each.
Great experience over all.
Wrap up with sommelier’s tour of the cellar
Great food, ambiance and service.
Will definitely be back.
Love our experience at Mourad!! The food was incredible and wine couldn't have been better!
Justin, our main waiter was outstanding, he made sure our dinner was wonderful and fun.
We will definitely come back and recommend it to our friends.
Thank you thank you!
I found Mourad to be unique, tasty, classy and entirely enjoyable. Not a budget night out, by any means, but worth it because they offer a cuisine not commonly available.
We had an amazing time, the food is delicious
Amazing food. Duck and short rib
Out of town visit
If you like reminding a server every 10 minutes about something they forgot to bring to the table this is the spot for you. I've been here a couple times and never had an enjoyable experience. Do yourself a favor and eat at one of the better spots in the neighborhood (Angler, Birdsong..) you will have a much better dining experience anywhere else.
I was impressed, the oysters and mojito were superb, I had 2 orders of each item.
Overall the food was delicious. I will be returning to try other items on the menu.
A wonderful experience!
Had heard great things re Mourad.
the service was excellent. everyone was incredibly kind and courteous. the ambience was lovely. my husband's favorites were the basteeya, the potatoes, and the dessert. my favorites were the scallops, the dessert, and my cocktail.
This was less a dinner and closer to an artistic achievement. A Michelin Star well earned and honestly possibly missing its second. From beginning to end this was a truly exquisite dining experience that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I want to personally thank the entire staff. Every single person and aspect of the night was perfect. I have no complaints and would go again in a heartbeat. If you want a night to remember you couldn’t do better.
Food was good but not real MOROCCAN as I am MOROCCAN :) Service was good but waiters were trying to get us out of the table. I liked the decoration and the ambiance but barely can hear music, we mainly hear people’s talks
Great atmosphere, great food, and they made my girlfriend feel special on her bday. The service was just right and we appreciated the laid back vibe.
The food was spectacular and the service professional. I appreciated the acoustic design that reduced the noise level
I cannot believe this place has a Michelin star. Service was really sub-par, some food was excellent (oysters, octopus), some barely average (chicken). We would have drunk far more wine had we only had some attention and someone pouring and attending to us. Wine list prices a bit absurd though. location is beautiful. not worth the money
We were excited to eat here as we had heard great things. There were a series of odd issues that were not handled well by management. First there was some issue with the bottle of wine we selected which was never fully explained, took forever to get the second bottle of wine we selected. Not sure why they do not open wine at the table. Waiter chastised us for “order too light” but then paid no attention to the fact that our entrees never appeared. When I finally asked, he just said they would be right out...never apologized for the delay. Then, suddenly, some other person who never introduced himself, showed up with another appetizer and apologized but didn’t explain what happened. It appears, order was lost. Food finally showed up and was good but took way too long.
We have eaten at Mourad a few times. We love the menu and generally love the service but this time we felt rushed and that the courses were not paced well. Overall its a great place to go.
Wonderful service and excellent food in a beautiful modern space.
Food was over priced, was not served hot, portions were small for cost, expense account , place I Will not go back .
So good. I had the lamb at a business lunch. Liked it so much I came back the next day and had the same thing.
Food overall was lackluster with the standout being the mini flatbreads served with the eggplant (doesn't bode well when the standout is bread). Not vegetarian friendly but they tried to make suggestions for substitutions which was appreciated. Service was impeccable, knowledgeable recommendations, very attentive, and clearly wanted to make our experience the best it could be. However, the food should be the centerpiece and it just didn't stand up to our expectations. Also, upstairs seating feels a bit "second-class" so if you want the full "scene" experience be sure to request a room on the main level.
We are big fans of Mourad and will be back again and again. Lovely innovative and delicious food, excellent service team, quiet conversation is possible, excellent drink and wine menu that compliments the food...our only regret was that we had a play to see and could not fit in dessert.
We were served excellent cocktails in the bar as we arrived 10 minutes early and then were seated. The server was personable and recommended a small snack of olives while our family style roast chicken was cooked. The meal was excellent and really enjoyed it. All the side dishes were delicious
This is a fabulous Moroccan restaurant, which is not all that easy to find. Very authentic, but also with a great flair from the chef. Highly recommend!
Delicious and artful. Excellent with perfect service.
Not impressed .. service was poor, food was nothing to write home about..
