Cuisine is modern European with a strong Italian influence reflecting Angela’s heritage with a totally flexible menu where guests may choose anything from 1 course to their own tasting menu.
The service, meal and food was fantastic. The only down side was that we
Our only problem was that we were under a time constraint because we had to make our 2.30 slot at the RA. We had to keep reminding the waiting staff of this and were not sure whether this was passed to the kitchen. Otherwise, everything was delightful, including the staff. Would certainly come again!
We had the set menu for Sunday lunch; there was no choice. The ambiance and attentive staff were good. However, for a Michelin Star restaurant, the food was pretty average and wines very expensive. So overall, our experience was disappointing.
A super evening , excellent meal and service
Our wedding anniversary meal (with son) was everything we could have expected and more. The food was divine, the service was excellent. Have already recommended to several friends. Not cheap, but well worth the money!
Solid restaurant with a good menu. Mayfair classic
Great food once again. The wine list is surprisingly reasonable with a great selection of Italian reds - we had a 2015 Sardinian wine for about £50 and it was lovely. The noise level was unnoticeable (although one suspects our neighbouring tables might have a different view). This place never disappoints.
Excellent all round from start to finish, top quality food and service.
Great flexible menu offering an incredible range of tasty dishes.
The Murano is one of my favourite restaurants in London. The food is excellent and the service is efficient without being intrusive. The opportunity to select different courses according to diners' preferences is extremely agreeable.
Delicious food, beautifully presented in a calm atmosphere by knowledgeable and friendly staff. A perfect place for lunch (haven’t been for dinner but guess would be same).
Great lunch in a lovely relaxed environment with a selection of wines by the glass to compliment the food. We were well looked after by knowledgeable and friendly staff.
An excellent meal, not the best meal we have had in London but a very good meal that stacks up well with others.
Food was tasty and innovative with a few nice twists. A good wine list not so many in the cheaper range £50-70 in my opinion.
Service was good but not quite as good as what we’ve had elsewhere but that’s probably the difference between 1 and 2/3 stars.
Sat close to the window looking in on the kitchen and it appeared a calm kitchen when we visited.
Strong Italian influence but overall I would qualify it as "modern European" type of food. Some of the dishes in the 5-dishes tasting menu were outstanding, a couple were "good" (pickled tomatoes slightly overpowering scallops to my taste)
Pleasant atmosphere, excellent service, a very good wine list.
I expected more, but its a good restaurant. The service was very good.
This restaurant is very overrated. There is no music, the restaurant is dead silent making it a rather awkward atmosphere. The starters were nice which were the pea soup and crab risotto, however the mains were disappointing. The gnocchi just came with spinach and tabasco sauce, the type of meal would make if you only had pasta spinach and ketchup left in the fridge kind of thing. I have never had a pasta dish where the ingredients really did not go, and to be honest this almost put me off gnocchi. Sadly I won’t be coming back.
A sumptuous meal, served by attentive, knowledgable staff. A real treat, everything tasted exquisite. The Turbot could have been more plump, maybe I got the tail end? But otherwise it was really enjoyable
Food and service consistently excellent. The whole experience oozes quality.
Food was lovely but very small portions and its expensive too. Restaurant itself is very small and lacked any sort of atmosphere. Diners were mainly city\business types. I couldn't fault the service but its not somewhere I would choose to revisit. The 'special' element was lacking for me and no acknowledgement that I was there with friends for my birthday celebrations either
The menu structure was different and not something I've ever come across at a fine dining establishment. You could choose from 1 - 5 courses. The menu was structured in 5 sections but you could 'mix and match' courses ie, have 5 desserts for the same price or just pick a starter and main from any part of the menu. The portion sizes were then tailored according to the course. I had the crab risotto for my starter and rib of beef. Both were delicious but the main course was very small. Not a bad size if you're having 5 courses however but I doubt many would. The pork belly was very strongly smoked and my friend couldn't eat it. Very salty as well which was a shame.
Good ambiance and food. Service good and attentive
We hope to visit again soon. All the staff is friendly and helpful and professional. Raimund the GM runs an amazing restaurant,
Best restaurant in London. Been a couple of times now and it never disappoints.
Despite good food - obviously expected from a Micelin starred restaurant - the service was uninspired, quite distant and not very warm. In restaurants like these, you would expect some more "flexibility" when it comes to a moderate refill on a small glass of wine (price GBP 19 per glass...).
So in total a fair experience, quite good food, uninspired service and slightly overpriced.
Absolutely fantastic this was our second visit to Murano and we will certainly be coming again. The food was outstanding and in a relaxed atmosphere with staff who were delightful. Thank You
Murano is fabulous - the food, the people the place - all amazing!!! A chill place serving the most wonderful food - and they are so kind to my autistic son - they make him and us feel so welcome!
Food was superb. Such value, real treat, lovely room.
This is one of the best restaurants available. We have visited on several occasions, and have never been disappointed. This time we enjoyed the best pea soup in the world, with a wonderful crisp wafer of fish and pea shoots; the most perfect gnocchi in a delectable sauce of olive oil infused with tomato; perfectly cooked and presented fish and a wonderful soufflé to finish. The wines are excellent, and the service superb. It is not cheap, but it is special.
Simply outstanding. Delicious, elegant and precious plates of food. Better than ever. Service is superb, relaxed, not pretentious or stuck up. Just natural, interactive and perfect. Murano is a treat every time!
A fab experience
Delightful food from start to finish. Service was perfectly managed: attentive when needed but unfussy. Really helpful advice from the sommelier. Thank you, Murano, for a great experience.
Simply amazing, as always. Angela’s brigade never fails to deliver.
Murano was marvellous. A business lunch with tight timetable. All staff smiling & keen to help with any request. Franco is now one of the happiest and wise sommeliers. He has the unerring ability to select wines by the glass which complement every dish - and at prices well within budget too. For a business lunch on the fixed price menu it would be hard to find better.
Excellent food and ambience.
The staff were extremely efficient but also very friendly - nothing was too much trouble - even hailing cabs for my friend and I once we had finished dining!
A perfect end to a perfect day at Chelsea flower show was topped off by a beautiful meal at Murano. My gluten allergy was well catered for including my very own loaf of home made gluten free bread. I was even given a loaf to take home, and a copy of the recipe. My friend who was celebrating a special birthday was given a birthday dessert of strawberries with basil ice cream. Exquisite food and favours in a relaxed setting
Lovely meal and excellent service, but please don't offer a new customer the table next to the kitchen door! Very off-putting.
Fourth visit and our favourite restaurant when in London. Fabulous food, great wines and impeccable service. Considering the location the prices are not exorbitant, thoroughly recommended and as I was in the business for thirty years I’m pretty discerning and expect the best. Murano delivers in spades and look forward to our next visit.
Food and service were both faultless. Wonderful atmosphere and the bread is sublime!
We are at Murano for the first time on Saturday and will certainly be back. First class service from beginning to end including an offer to go into the kitchen and meet the team.
Amazing food, great atmosphere and completely faultless experience.
It was a wonderful experience, the staff were very attentive, and thank you for giving my wife a birthday surprise. Couldn't fault anything.
