   It took 30 minutes for someone to take our drink order. Seemed very short staffed. One guy was manning the front door, taking drink orders and serving food. The service rating is based on the slow start to service. Once our order was taken the service improved. Would be nice to have more than one or a change in fish options.

   Murray Circle is a wonderful place to dine. Very relaxing and you feel like you've gotten away. I recommend it to my friends and we celebrate special events in our family there.

   Ambiance is always lovely. Service was ok. Food was poor : hamburger was way over cooked. ; The veggie wraps were just not tasty with not enough variety and although advertised as spicy harissa, the chef used too much ; my husband’s salmon was good, but the potatoes were not. Sorry for the poor review about the food. Maybe yesterday was an off day.

   Absolutely gorgeous location with stunning city skyline and Golden Gate Bridge views from the tables on the front porch which all have very effective gas heaters. Food and drink were also top-notch but the service was a little uninspired. Based on service alone, I probably wouldn’t come back—this one’s all about location, location, location.

    Not sure I can recommend Cavallo Point at the moment. We've been going for several years, and although the food is still very good, the service has been quite poor the last two times we were there. Last year I was sympathetic in light of COVID-related staff shortages. But there's no excuses now - at least not at the prices Cavallo is charging! We waited ten minutes after sitting down before anyone noticed us at all, and then three times (!) during the meal, I had to get up myself and get silverware for our table. The wine came only after we were almost done with our entrees, etc etc. Loads of servers and bussers around but somehow they're not on the ball. Our waiter was nice when we did see him, but that's about all I can say. On top of that, it's very expensive - and although the food is good, it's not THAT good. Cheekiest of all is that they imposed a mandatory 20% service fee on the check. If you're going to force your customers to pay a 20% tip (which I think is terrible policy no matter what), you better at least provide a great service. But they didn't. Nice meal... but ultimately overpriced and disappointing. There are better restaurants in Marin that are more appropriately priced.

    Thank you for a superb brunch to celebrate my mother's 95th birthday! Cavallo seemed the perfect spot to celebrate her 95 years as she was born and raised in San Francisco and spent her married life raising six children in Marin...Cavallo bridged those two worlds of her life in just the right setting. We were a bit late for our reservation time but your hostess was quite lovely and understanding. She was so warm and accommodating, as well. Kabin was exceptional and attentive in every way. He took the time to interact with us and was so genuine as we shared our stories about Nepal. Kabin is such a gentleman and maintains just the right balance of kindness and polish, while making certain that our wishes were met with precision. We LOVED the table selection, in front of the fire place in such an intimate room...it felt as though we were all to ourselves! And although you are not responsible for it, the weather was ideal! The sun was shining and the views were stunning. Thank you to your staff for their patience, kindness and warmth. Each person contributed to the joy of the day.     I was disappointed by the food at our brunch on Sunday. I usually love Cavallo and am usually thrilled by the quality and clever combinations. Not this time. Tomatoes were not ripe, bread didn't feel fresh and our waiter really didn't want to be there. Too bad- I'll plan to give it another try, but if we experience the same thing, it will be a shame.

    Our party was there to celebrate a birthday! Our order for brunch was taken promptly but the egg dishes came out first followed by our burrata appetizer which we expected before the brunch dishes. The salmon sandwich for the birthday guest finally arrived ~15 minutes later. The food was good but the coordination of how the food arrives can be improved on. Overall it was pleasant.

    A delightful delicious meal with an unbeatable view of the GG Bridge and SF, and warm ambience on the front porch. Nice outdoor climate controls with shades and heaters. Waitstaff and hostess were so great!! An incredibly beautiful historic military compound wonderfully repurposed.

    Had dinner outside last evening. Service was excellent, ambiance was wonderful. The appetizer I had was scallops!! Excellent! My main course was the pork chop. Very dry and overcooked. I should have sent it back, however, I was hungry and didn’t want to wait. Breakfast this morning…a scramble was very good but the potatoes were over cooked and over salted. Did send this back and then got excellent potatoes. I can’t figure out how they could serve the first ones.

    Very spacious and comfortable seatings -- also good COVID distancing! Fabulous view of the GG Bridge and SF Bay set in the beautiful Main Headlands. Food is terrific -- great brunch menu. Relaxed atmosphere to socialize with friends. Comp. valet parking! Easy access ramp for older adults. Friendly and welcoming.

    We went for Easter Brunch. The buffet section (starters and desserts) was outstanding. For the main course, we ordered the lamb which was, in short, THE BEST LAMB I have ever been served in a restaurant in my life! It was a 101 on a scale of 10! Absolutely melt-in-your-mouth and incredibly tasty. Neither my fiance nor I will ever forget that experience!!

    The evening, a family birthday, got off to a bad start when the greeter unsympathetically sent us outside when we arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation, hoping for a drink in the bar or in the outside veranda, both of which appeared to have ample vacant places. Diner itself was fine, and the waiter was excellent. We live nearby and have had other special occasion meals at Murray Circle, but were left with a slightly negative impression and will probably take our future trade elsewhere.

    I hosted a small baby shower lunch at Murray Circle yesterday. Our waiter was beyond terrible. I made it clear when I made the reservation that my daughter and guests had spa appointments at 2:00. I made sure to let out waiter know as well. When he finally came over to take our drink order, we also order a couple things for the table to start. Those never came. When they brought our food, he never once checked in with us to make sure everything was okay. Food was mediocre at best. I realize that we are still dealing with crazy times but this was more than that. I will not be going back to Murray Circle.

    We were here for our 20th Anniversary brunch this Saturday. We started inside but moved to the pooch outside porch with a heater and it was delightful! I had the crab benedict and a glass of Rose Brut and husband had the ham benedict. BOTH were A+++ They even gave us a small plate of pastry surprises at the end for our special day. We will be back someday!

    Dining on the porch at Murray Circle on a sunny day should be a 'must' on any Bay Area 'to do' list. Service is attentive and staff genuinely aim to provide you a wonderful experience. Food is delicious and prepared with care in terms of presentation. Staff are knowledgeable about menu items also. In my experiences here, my dining partners have always thoroughly enjoyed their meals.

    My friend and I had a wonderful brunch at Murray Circle. I've eaten there many times, and the food is always delicious. The view of San Francisco Bay with San Francisco in the distance is beautiful. Parking is free and within very easy walking distance.

    Made reservations a month in advance. Still has to wait 30 minutes to be seated on a Friday afternoon at 2 pm. The hostess gave us a free drink while we waited which was nice. Service was spotty. The food was average to below average and way over priced. Thankfully it was a beautiful day and the view was gorgeous. Sorry to post a bad review but we were really disappointed.

    We celebrated our wedding anniversary and has a beautiful little booth right next to the fire place. The service was great. Our food and wine were amazing. They even gave us a special anniversary desert. This is our happy place.

    We have been to the bar a number of times and it was good food and a good atmosphere . Everyone has always made such a big deal a Murray circle and I don’t get it. The ambiance is not great and the food is ok hotel food. If I was staying there it was fine but I don’t feel like it worth going out of my way to go there for a special occasion. What a shame.

    1. I made a point on my reservation to say it was my boyfriend's 60th birthday. No greeting on arrival. Did not make him feel special at all. 2. For a "resort casual" dining experience, the hostess looked like she just walked in from hiking in rolled up faded jeans and an old stretched out Tshirt. I have never seen such a poor first impression on arrival at a restaurant. 3. A large party in the center of the restaurant had a probably 5 year old girl running around the large table shrieking. The mother ignored her. And none of the staff went over to her to quietly ask her to stop her child from ruining the dining experience for the rest of the customers. I am a mom and would never have let my children do this. This was supposed to be an "acclaimed restaurant, one of the Bay Area's top culinary destinations." 4. Food was OK. We started with the sticky ribs and a green salad (that was missing the dates). Then shared the lamp chops. All was fine, nothing extraordinary. But this was the only restaurant on property. It was nice being able to just walk back to the room.
