Muse at Benaroya Hall
It's one of the most visually beautiful rooms for dining in Seattle. The service is attentive but unobtrusive; and the food is excellent. The whole experience is relaxing; putting the diner in a fine frame of mind for the music one is about to hear.
We had a good meal in a quiet and enjoyable setting. The service was excellent.
The menu is very limited and the entrées range from acceptable to poor. The first course was even less impressive. The hummus had no flavor at all and was stylishly wrapped in who knows what. The short ribs were dry and without flavor as well. The sea bass was well presented but again, needed more sauce and flavor.
The restaurant has a lovely setting and we appreciate its proximity to the hall, but given cost and the lack of culinary delight, we will not be likely to recommend it to friends.
Nice meal, excellent martinis, very good service. A pretty and peaceful place.
Entree over seasoned and salted and the book Chou was limp and wet in other words it was a very poor meal. While we had an attentive waitress the service was extremely slow. For $100.00 this meal was a over priced and unpleasant.
The menu at Muse always has good choices. We do enjoy our dinner at Muse before going to the symphony. We had a wonderful waiter, fine wine, and a beautiful booth. Unfortunately this time our dinner was quite over-salted to the point that my wife noticed being swollen when we returned home that evening from the symphony. Hopefully this was a one-time occurrence or we will sadly need to consider another restaurant in the future.
Very nice dinner and very friendly staff. Wine choices were excellent, and especially nice to be able to go directly to the symphony performance.
Good food. Great ambience, but they are slow getting the food to you. We had to swallow dessert and run (didn't touch our tea and coffee), which is funny since everyone there has the same deadline. They reduced our bill since things were so late, which was nice. Not the first time this has happened.
All wonderful - ambience, service, cocktail, tastes. The portions might be a bit smaller however.
The food is excellent and it’s so nice to be able to dine in the Hall before a concert!
We went for a pre-performance dinner. Our server was great. However our meals came late and lukewarm, had to send them back to be warmed . I ordered from the chef’s menu which included two entree’s and dessert. I chose the dessert when I ordered the meal. At the end of the meal I was expecting the desert, but was told unfortunately they were all out and they served us a complementary chamomile cream Brulé. It was upsetting to know that my order had not been taken care of at the beginning so we settled for the desert offered, did not love it. I appreciated that our server tried to make it right but I expect better from The Muse.
A great hidden dining experience, for symphony patrons!
Amazing menu with white king salmon which is always a treat and not commonly found in a restaurant. Very quiet and relaxed environment. Good service. Short wine list but some good choices. A very pleasant dining experience before the symphony.
We have been to Muse on many times before . It is great before the symphony. This weekend they chirp fo a buffet, this wasn’t a great idea. The food was like warm.
But we will go back , when they go back to using the menu.
The service was outstanding and the buffet was much better than table service. If the margin would allow for the buffet to be a nightly item that would be a real win.
The food quality was excellent. One of the best experiences in many years.
We have had lovely meals at Muse in the past. However, they have switched to a buffet, and the change was not welcome. The food did not taste nearly as fresh end it felt overpriced. We will not return until the buffet is gone!
Buffet was not what we expect from Muse. As good as it could have been, but we are not “buffet people”.
Great pre-concert dining. Good food, excellent service. Perfect ambience for conversing with friends.
Server, Bobby was great!
Wait staff was attentive, martini and coffee good, food not appealing. We were so disappointed in the quality of the food. The dessert was not edible. We were excited to try Muse for our preshow dinner to the New Years Eve Bash at Benaroya. We will not return and I would not recommend to friends.
The Muse was just right...it was an enjoyable fixed menu and so nice to be so conveniently down the hall from the Symphony. I keep going back! 👍🏽
Delightful service and well priced food. We had a great time for NYE!
There was great service from seating to leaving. The environment is excellent and the food presentation is beautiful. Bob was my server and he was very friendly and professional.
Great if you're seeing a show. Very pricey but nice.
Unusual menu, great waiter, wonderful room, excellent overall
Thank you for the wonderful evening celebrating my husband’s birthday with great food and the Symphony experience that followed.
We arrived at 6 pm, before an 8 pm performance. The location is a bit hard to find. You have to get your tickets scanned at the Benaroya Hall lobby entrance, cross the lobby, then around a corner, down a long hall, and finally end up a "The Founder's Room".
It's clear it wasn't originally set up as a restaurant space and is really just a big room with a bar that's meant for hosting a variety of events. However, it was set up very nicely for dining. There were no bad tables.
Our server was great. Very professional but relaxed at the same time.
The food was great. I don't have much to say. It's simple yet classy and well done.
I would come back again next time we're going to a performance at the hall.
Very classy, the servers wear suits instead of uniforms.
Food was good! Server was great! We were there at 6:15pm before a 8pm concert. Our food didn't arrive until 7:30 - way too slow!
Our evening started out very well for our pre-preformance meal, our first time at Muse. Four of us were there at Benaroya to celebrate our December birthdays. Initially and throughout most of our time there, the wait staff was attentive and the food was delicious. As the time neared for us to head out to the performance we flagged and waited for the server to bring our bill. I have no idea what happened but she seemed distracted and did not acknowledge our request. By then, almost every other diner had left the room. Finally we had to leave for the performance and the maitre d' told us to go, that he would comp our meals. This was a nice gesture but overall our evening was dampened by the experience.
This is a great restaurant for pre-symphony. Food is always good with interesting and tasty choices.
A very convenient location for the symphony in Benaroya Hall. Food was lacking considerably. Seared tuna extremely dry with orange risotto which didn’t compliment the dish. The pork loin was served luke warm the first time, then they reheated it, but again very dry with scalloped potatoes that were made hours in advance. We didn’t opt for dessert although the server did offer since the pork loin was cold. $45 seems like a high price to pay for a mediocre meal. We won’t be back.
The service was exceptional. The food was marvelous. You can tell the cooks are extremely creative I their abilities.
A great place to eat prior to a concert. The French Chocolate cake was enough for 2 people.
Great venue for dinner before a Benaroya event. Food and service are great as is the convenience of parking in the Benaroya garage and not having to worry about weather and what to do with coats and hats.
We loved the duck in pastry app. The rest of the food was not as good as we expected, esp. with the price. There was no time to taste dessert, due to the concert schedule. We had been seated with enough time, but the kitchen could not keep up, folks had to rush to get to the hall, even tho we were already in the building.
Such an incredible menu, and amazing service. The wait staff are clearly experts at delivering only the best customer service. My waiter preemptively brought me a drink on the house because of the wait time on my food (that I didn't even notice!)! Talk about being on the ball. So amazing!
My chicken and vegetables were cold, I asked for asparagus and ended up with rice pilaf - the fixed it, but the asparagus was cold and tough. My husbands pork loin was warm. The flavors were good. - for the price nothing to write home about.
Excellent meal. Service as well. On a tight concert schedule we were pleased with the entire evening's experience.
