Food was very good, but we were seated in what was a closed in porch. The plexiglass covering the window was loose and kept banging against the heater device. People went outside to smoke and the smell came thru the loose plexiglass. A real bummer for what was an occasion where we used the ratings to choose this restaurant. When I spoke to the owner he basically blew me off saying we were seated there because of the expected crowd which didn't happen because of many cancelations.

Unlike what some others have said, the owner was delightful to us. The food (whitefish franscese) was outstanding - fresh ,flavorful and perfectly cooked. Bread on table is very good. My friend had chicken saltimbocca and loved it. Room is small but comfortable. This will be our new neighborhood go to.

Warm and welcoming. A delicious meal in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed the pleasant non-intrusive attention, like being treated as guests in a special Italian home. The food is terrific, prepared with top quality ingredients and care. We can’t wait to go again.

My husband, mom and I first tried this place from a Groupon. OMG, they have some of the best Italian food around. The restaurant itself is cozy, friendly and has a really nice ambiance. Their Fettuccine Alfredo is hands down the best I have had. There are some great old world Italian restaurants in Chicago, but theirs is truly the best. My mom and I always order the Chianti and, again, it is outstanding. Not too dry, simply smooth. And let's not forget about the Tiramisu - also, hand's down the best. The owner is always on hand and always makes a point of stopping at every day to welcome guests. The service outstanding. This restaurant will not disappoint.

We dined early, so very few patrons. Service was great. Our food was tasty and portions generous. I was a little disappointed in the crab ravioli. While the flavors were outstanding, the pasta was a little tough. Everything else was perfect!

This has been my husband and I most favorite restaurant, The BEST Italian food around. We love the ambiance. The staff is so friendly and the owner always greets his customers at the tables. Its a great find and worth going back.

Almost two years since we last ate here and everything was as good as we remembered. The servers are always friendly and efficient. Shrimp DeJonghe appetizer was excellent. Veal parmigiana was perfect, both in taste and size. Full bodied Cabernet was an excellent accompaniment. Ted, the owner, was hovering as usual to make sure that tables would be available when the busy time came (we got there at 5:00), but I don't hold that against him ... he runs a great restaurant.

Groupon got us here and we are glad Groupon did. Food is authentic and as good as Olive Garden, without unlimited refills. Desserts are small and expensive. You can bring your own wine for $20. Nice place. Portion sizes were smaller than Olive Garden. COVID welcome.

Chef’s prep was grand. Owner kind of pompous at the bar treating Sunday patron like they were insignificant. Braised rib Specials explained and ordered were unavailable after order placed. Wait staff yelling and degrading chef when only two tables were seated was alarming and in comforting. Small and intimate setting requires extra attention to guest that wasn’t quite the response anticipated. Seems me kind of dis one Ted between owner—staff—and customers. Take your chances. We were hoping for a pleasant Sunday afternoon getaway dinner that did not meet expectations. 2 for comfort but 5 for food prep!

Ted and his staff always creates a welcoming environment. His food is superb. The My Way Lobster ravioli is to die for as are the picante, Marsala and Francesca veal & chicken dishes. Finish it all with homemade Lemoncello. Yummy! It’s the best ! 😊

Amazing quality food, service & all around everything! The owner himself is so sweet and shows how much he loves his restaurant which ties everything together. The outdoor patio is where we sat and it is such a cute area that gives off Italy vibes for sure. The food was so fresh and tasty! Definitely a restaurant to keep going to in the future!

I order lemon chicken with angel hair spaghetti and this was the worst food I ever ate. Chicken was overcooked and the sauce was super salty. The food was on eatable, I will never recommend this place to anybody.

It’s very cozy, but with nice spacing between the tables. The waitstaff is always friendly and efficient. The owner always comes around to greet us and to thank us for coming. It is our favorite all around, but especially for Italian. Lucky for us, it is close to home.

My Way is always very good -- intimate local place with very good food. We started with the stuffed banana peppers and grilled calamari. The banana peppers are a must. Our group had Braciole, Chicken Giambotta, Salmon and Mahi Mahi. Everything was excellent!

Very good spaghetti sauce for sure. Enjoyed the rigatoni with mushrooms. Asked for it with marinara sauce and it was great. Nice portions also. Owner is quite friendly and helpful. Nice small, quaint restaurant and will go back for sure. One thing i wish was that the bread was warm to dip with the olive oil. Spumoni dessert in chocolate shell was also a nice treat!!!

Was quite disappointed in this restaurant and this choice especially on Easter Sunday. Restaurant was empty except for our family and one other table. My family of 5 with 3 children did not care for this restaurant. Only One option for soup and only 1 salad dressing offered and only 1 option for kids menu. Pasta with sauce and that’s it. We will not be back
