Amazing food and lovely service. Would definitely go back. My partner had a Sirloin steak and said it was perfect. Great choice of sides. I had mushroom tagliatelle, which was lovely. Only complaint would be the 12.5% gratuity that was added to the bill. As a table of 2, it was rather unexpected to have this added to our bill. We were intending to give a reasonable tip anyway but we didn't appreciate it not being our choice. Didn't seem right to have this as a standard addition to our bill.

Our first experience of the Ivy will certainly be the first of many. We were really looking forward to our celebration lunch and were very impressed by the whole experience.

Spent Valentine’s Day with fiancé here, lovely place in an amazing location. Very nice dining setting, we had a window seat overlooking St Andrews square. Ordered haggis bonbons for starters which were delicious. We are both steak lovers and ordered a 1.2kg porterhouse to share for our main with sides of chips. The food was lovely however I think personally a little overpriced in comparison to other steakhouses in Edinburgh. Generally we would spend in the region of £150 for a meal for two, here the bill came to over £225. I would return for another meal but the porterhouse is a tad overpriced in my humble opinion.

We came here for our anniversary as we hadn’t been before and wanted to give it a try. It did not disappoint. Firstly our server James. He was absolutely amazing from the beginning, giving recommendations on food and drinks that were perfect. His vibe was amazing too, so welcoming and relaxed. Our starters were both lovely. I had the oysters which we delicious and my boyfriend had the scampi that he devoured. For drinks I had Lind&Lime and tonic and my boyfriend had the pineapple soda drink and we both were both very pleasantly surprised by the flavours, highly recommended it! We both had steaks which tasted beautiful. My boyfriend had to send his back to get cooked a bit more but James was fantastic about it and it came back perfect. I got the side of creamed spinach which I’d never had before and paired with the bone marrow gravy was stunning! Finally desert. My boyfriend devoured his pavlova and when I managed to sneak a taste I thought it was really nice. My sticky toffee sundae proved my eyes were too big for my stomach but it was delicious either way! Compliments to the kitchen for our food:) Hoping to come back for my birthday as I loved our dinner last night. Thank you!
